I could be wrong, but I was under the impression it was one or the other.
For games that don't allow standing, the seats will be down, and usable, and everyone will be told to sit down, pretty much as it is now. (Not sure if they are locked in the down position, or can still flip up, as ours do now. I think they can? ?♂️.
For games where standing is allowed, and in the sections that get designated as standing areas for that game, the seats get locked back/up. There is no option to sit when you fancy it/at half time/when you need a rest. It effectively becomes like an old terrace, but with a safety rail between each row.I repeat... I could be wrong! ?♂️
Based on the seats we had at Anfield, you could choose to sit or stand, but I guess the design might be different elsewhere. Also the away section at Liverpool was sold as seats, so maybe they have to be locked to be strictly safe standing, but I could be wrong also!

There is also an issue with exits if you increase the capacity.
I am not sure there would be any increase in capacity, one person to each seat. During the second half at Anfield in the rail seats, there were quite a few more people in our row, probably those who had a crap view in the back rows.

4,723 tickets left for home fans.
About a 23-24K crowd, not bad considering time of year and the weather.

I was thinking of going to Bolton with my dad (He certainly cant stand up all match) however Given the issue of everybody standing that's two people who wont be able to attend.
Thanks for that ☹️
One way would be if you can get front row tickets on the upper tier (or lower tier if you are not bothered about being at ground level). I managed this at MK, though there were still people standing in this row! It is a big problem and although I don't mind standing when on my own, there is no way I can take my dad or wife to away games unless we go in the home end, which I have done on a couple of occasions.

Bolton tckts arrived this morning, just hoping it warms up a bit as it can be bitterly cold up at Bolton
I think Bolton (Burnden Park on the open terrace) was the coldest I've been at an away game, apart from maybe Oldham. Wish I was going as it should be a good away day what ever the weather.

Happy with that. It was always going to be a tough game and Burton are still very much in it. Next goal will be very important, let it be ours.

well well are they going to do a Brazil?

Last block opened for Bolton. Total of 195 seats available

It wouldn't bother me if winter games started at at 2pm on Saturdays. Might save on flood light costs (although the lights were on before 11.30am on Saturday!)

Don't understand why this has been moved, it is not on TV and I won't be able to make it now which is very annoying.

I agree but once the medical team were treating Smith the game should have resumed. Not the best ref I’ve seen but probably not the worst.
Yes we have certainly seen worse this season!

The whole incident was bizarre. I know it might seem harsh but as Smith was off the pitch, the ref should really have resumed play immediately. He was able to receive all the treatment he needed without the need for the game to be stopped. Then Smith is rolling around as if he’s dislocated his knee only to get up and continue playing after a few minutes. The generous side of me assumes he was indeed caught awkwardly and in pain but it wore off after a little treatment.
Agreed but I thought at first it was something serious like a leg break and he needed treatment quickly i.e. stop the game to allow the medical team access across the pitch.
It was also strange when the ref did not stop the game when Bird was crocked and the ball ended up back with Wildsmith. The ref then restarted the game with a drop ball, giving the ball to Wildsmith. What was that all about?

1 min injury time first half ?
Yes it was bizarre as Smith had been treated for at least two minutes, maybe longer. In the World Cup we'd have got 10 minutes!
-
Wildsmith 7.5 - not a lot to do apart from one good save
Smith 6.0
Cashin 6.5 - mixed bag, won the ball well but a couple of poor passes under no pressure
Forsyth 8.0 - Excellent
Sibley 6.5 - some good crosses
Dobbin 6.5 - Good dribble first half
Knight 6.0
Bird ? 7.0
Roberts 6.0 Not much time
Barkhuisen 7.0
Hourihane 6.5
McGoldrick 6.5 - Not up to recent standard
Osula 6.0
Collins 5.5
Mendez-Laing 6.5

Thought it felt a bit flat before kickoff. Game followed suit.
I was so upbeat driving to Derby, first home game for ages and looking forward to a great atmosphere. Got into a virtually empty ground (everyone seemed to arrive 10 mins before kick off) and it felt like a wake. Hopefully better v FGR.
-
Must have been about 2k of season ticket holders that did not show up today. Agreed atmosphere was very flat from both sets of fans. Not sure why, maybe the cold weather, early kick off and less drinking time?

Less that now I think about 1k to 800 left now at a tough guess.
2144 tickets left so must be pushing close to 30k
