If you need help coming to terms with what you saw then I'm happy to stick the kettle on, get some biscuits out and talk through it with you.
That is very kind, but I'm over it now and ready for another dose tonight!

Happy with a point at Stevenage. You didn't see us beat Real Madrid and Benfica then. Man Utd at Old Trafford. Liverpool at Anfield. Arsenal at Highbury
But I was at Shrewsbury!

I don’t know why but I have a more positive feeling now that the game will go ahead. Fingers crossed but I’ve probably cursed it now so, incoming announcement.
Me too having looked at the forecast which shows very little rain today. Just hope the floods on the roads have had chance to subside.

Ahem... Allow me...
23rd Dec 2006? (A Saturday, according to Google).
There was also one on Boxing Day 2012, but we lost that 2-0

I remember going to the game in 2006, sat next to Geoff Hoon and his son. No recollection of any Corrie actors though

If the station, local roads and roads from Derby are closed that may be enough without the pitch condition coming into it.
Maybe flooded local roads might be a factor, but the train strikes didn't cause any postponements. Anyway not expecting any news until tomorrow morning.

No games appear to have been called off yet. I expect a few will be tomorrow morning. Would seem a bit premature to call our game off 24 hours ahead unless the pitch is completely under water. Fortunately the ground is not near the Severn like the railway station.

Any danger of this being called off? Shrewsbury often floods and I know they've had issues in the past.
If it was at Gay Meadow, it would probably be off, but not sure about the new ground.

They are the top scorers in all four divisions with 30 goals.
This will be a tougher proposition than Notts County, Crewe now unbeaten in 14 home matches having won the last four including v Tranmere on Saturday. We have to beat them for the sake of us Crewe based rams and the abuse we will receive if we don't!

1680 is usual capacity for away fans, so not too bad.
We should get over 2k if we are given the stand behind the goal as well.

It’s a 20 minute walk to the stadium from the Hops Belgium bar.
Good choice. There is also the Borough Arms that also serves Belgian beer, but I think it may be still run by a Forest fan, so I tend to avoid it!

as a kid, I used to think Gary Micklewhite was quick, always seemed to arrive at the back post to score from crosses from the left wing, maybe my memory is playing tricks and he just had good positional sense. What a great player and servant to the club he was.

Couldn't get a ticket for Stevenage, so plan B put into action, hospitality - there are about 6 places left.

Tickets on sale at 10 o’clock tomorrow morning for 5+ members.
Shrewsbury 295 tickets left.
Stevenage 39 tickets left.
Notts County showing sold out again but there is still 193 seats left in the stand that they will hopefully release.
Notts County is on general sale.
Good luck everyone.
Tickets for Stevenage sold out at 9.59, think I managed to bag a Shrewsbury ticket but not clear if payment has been taken. I have had a confirmation e-mail so hoping it has gone through.

Looking forward to this after a pretty crap week. Was in two minds about attending following a family bereavement, but hoping to be distracted in a good way for a couple of hours. UTRs.
