ziggyram59 got a reaction from Rammy03 in Nuno Espirito Santo would you replace him as Spurs manager?
I think that's an understatement Rammy03, to think in 2018/2019 they got to the champions league final against Liverpool they had a good team under Pochettino but as you state Levy wouldn't invest to take them to the next level and as you say they have gone backwards. There fans think there a top team but they haven't won the old first division/premier league since 1960/1961.

Not really. I've seen us thrash the Aussies - and on many occasions been thrashed by them - but in my lifetime, the two greatest series were 1981 and 2005.

It would be great if the Ashes series was that easy.

This is one match we have to win, lose to Barnsley and were in real trouble, these are the teams you have to beat to have any hope of getting out the bottom 3.

I'm assuming Knight is still injured so would go:
Roos
Jags Davies Fozzy
Byrne Morrison Bird Buchanan
Ebosele CKR Lawrence
Really need to win this one, come on lads! ?

There's things in life that just hit you so hard on the head that you have a headache for weeks after, This Scoop has hit as hard as a waft of a nightingales piss flap

Thanks for that 'exclusive' Alan, we'd never have known otherwise.
Maybe the exclusive but was that we signed Allsop from Salford? (Hint: Allsop has never played for Salford)

ziggyram59 got a reaction from Malagaram in Nuno Espirito Santo would you replace him as Spurs manager?
Yes that's what I can't understand, his 1st season in The Championship they were playing fantastic football and his 1st season in The Premier League but last season they played in a similar way to Spurs this season and the Wolves fans didn't like it and they got rid of him and now under Bruno Lage they are playing a lot more attacking style again.

Is there such a thing as a 'must win' game this early in the season? If not, this is probably as close as it gets!
Barnsley are on a run of 7 straight defeats. Are playing badly. Have a worse scoring record than us. If we lose this, it'll be the first time this season that I'll think we're in real trouble (I think we can still get out of it as it stands).
Some interesting decisions to be made by WR. Some players didn't perform in the last game. Some players (Shinnie) are suspended.
I'd go with this:
Roos
Byrne Jagielka Davies Buchanan
Knight Morrison Bird
Ebosele Kazim Lawrence
Subs: Allsop, Forsyth, Jozwiak, Baldock, Sibley, Stearman, Watson
We're guaranteed to move off the foot of the table with a win. Surely that's all the motivation the lads need? COYR! ?

It's difficult to care

I would, although I would need his replacement with a pen in his hand to sign before the bullet was fired.
Nuno must have been what, the 5th or 6th choice that went public as they were turned down, they can't let that embarrassment happen again.
The thing is I also think they will be looking in the same market as Newcastle, whilst they are in trouble at the foot of the table, there is a promise of money to spend.
Are you going to get that at Spurs?
Levy must be regretting firing Poch and not backing him every morning he wakes up.

He already looks like a dead man walking! Guess it's how much cash Levy wants to splash and can they attract anyone better.

The wily old fox Mowbray did exactly what he did to us under Cocu. He exposed us as a team trying to play out from the back that quite simply hasn't got the players to do that.
We lucked out that it wasn't another embarrassing scoreline as it was with Cocus team. We need to find a way of adapting quicker when teams do that to us.
It was a decent response 2nd half and that was with 10 men. I don't like calling out individual performances but why do we persist with Baldock? I can't see what he offers. One of the worst players in recent times to pull on a Derby shirt. In mitigation to him there were a few individual performances that could have been called out.
On a more positive note I thought Max Bird put in a shift 2nd half. He at least tried to get us playing higher up the pitch and not just take the safe option. Outstanding for someone of his age. As Curtis Davies quite rightly said though, we ultimately got what we deserved.

My brother was in the Joiners Arms once after Uni, early 1980's, he was doing his apprenticeship at British Rail and had attended a course at the Uni (prob just a college back then) with half a dozen other lads. Brian walked in with a few family members, looked around and came over to the lads and asked why they weren't at work. The lads said they'd finished for the day, but one said to Brian, shouldn't you be at work after Saturdays result (forest had lost), Brian clipped him round the head but laughed and bought them all a pint.

Matty Cash announces he is not good enough to play for England.
That's the headline here right?
Think it's kinda sad that he will take the place of some Polish player that will see representing his country as the pinnacle of his career.
I'm sure Cash will be hitting journalists up to say how he's a regular shopper down the local Polish store as he secretly spends his nights learning the Polish language on that Duolingo app.
Paulo Sousa should bring him on, let him have a minute on the pitch then send him back to Blighty with a you won't play for us again note in his backpack.

Same team that finished the Cov game please:
Roos
Byrne Jagielka Davies Buchanan
Bird Shinnie
Lawrence Morrison Sibley
Kazim
I know Kaz isn't ready for a full game yet, but I'd rather try and start off on the front foot with him leading the line then change it when he's knackered than bring him on after an average start.
Rovers have lost 3 of their last 4. This is more than winnable! COYR!
