Our U-18s are made up of around 50% 'youth' players (who, some of them, are undoubtedly good players... it's just 16 to 18 is a big gap in terms of physicality at that age).

Slight muscle strain according to OS. 

Cov fans singing "you're going down"... Same as Luton fans midweek, they have very short memories.

Even more disappointing as I recall a lot of support from Derby when SISU got involved with them.

Agreed, when your rules are holding young players development back its time to have a good look at yourself 
 
I was disappointed (as if my expectations weren't low enough) of the EFLs reply to question in that essentially saying it was our choice to bring in a few experienced frees this summer instead of promoting them... Bol1@%s 
 
Imagine the the difference for Cashin playing amongst Curtis and Jags, compared to Cashin-Brown at the back! 
 
I seem to recall Bolton pulled out of fixtures saying their youth team getting destroyed by senior teams was actually detrimental to their development, that's how we'd have been without Jags, Curtis, Stears, Bolldock, Morriston etc

I think we'd have seen glimpses of Cashin (and possibly Liam Thompson and Luke Plange) in the first team this season if it wasn't for the EFL's ridiculous 'player of professional standing' rules.

So much of what's gone on with the club must have effected the top end academy sides
 
Like has been mentioned, U23s and U18 have been stripped of top players for a lot of matches, but also for training too. For example Cashin has played for U23s as he can't play senior, but I'm assuming he's been training with the seniors more due to numbers, so they may not have trained together as much as would be ideal
 
Then there's the motivation others have mentioned, must be tough as an U23 talent knowing whatever you do, you can't play for the seniors
 
Theres also other factors like injuries ect, but I think that's the main crux of it

Well it'd be nice if we could change things up front to bring some creativity... But due to (well documented) reasons, there's not many options! I'd go with this:

                    Lawrence
Subs: Roos, Byrne, Baldock, Kazim, Stearman, Sibley, Watson

Roos also has when he's played though.

Yay, I’m going to this!! After a brain haemorrhage and then lockdown I thought I’d never get to PP again. However, I’ve recovered really well over the summer, especially worked hard to improve physically and my partner is letting my son take me to the match - he’s much more worried than I am!
So, Rams, I’d appreciate a good performance and a win - though whatever happens I’ll feel like a winner just getting there.

Ref was very poor for both sides. A couple very odd FKs early on, but didn't notice a lot of obvious fouls, not least the penalty handball.

Agreed @Chris_Martin I think he's only echoing what a lot of the rest of us are saying. Just hope he doesn't get in hot water for it.

It's time... Stick King Kaz on for the last 15mins and see what he can do.

As well as we're passing it around, I'd like to see us mix it up a bit going forward... Draw them on then hit the odd long pass for Sibbo to chase; he'll have their centre-backs for pace all day!

So frustrating that we can't convert all of this good play into more clear-cut chances and, ultimately, a goal or two! We've been all over them so far. The passing has been excellent.
