Could we? Who will sign on for that? If we had this team already tied down on contracts, maybe...but I sense a long long road ahead if we start -15

We are definitely in a beggars / choosers situation here..
A club to support is all we ask.

Thanks, your fuller answer from March 2021 appeared when I googled.
DC said 13/5/1884, but see leaked on 7/5/1884, etc.

The problem with that is that CK has stated that he wants MM completely out of the equation. This was just the other day, as he prepared to head over here. It was said in such a way as to suggest he won't even want to rent/lease from him, let alone do a deal on buying it from him (now or in the future).
Either MM needs to sell to a.n.other (who then rents to CK/DCFC, or CK needs to back down, and strike some sort of deal with MM.
... which brings us to this morning's impasse...

I’d say I’d buy the entire Club if I won that much, but I’m still not that stupid!

The FA guidelines say 3 divisions so we should be Conference, but it has been speculated that a deal has been agreed for League 2.

Not sure there's any value in it as a redevelopment opportunity, there's plenty of empty developments and brownfield around Derby already without having to lay out a major cost in demolishing the grd 1st.
I also think it couldn't be developed into residential due to the contaminated grd, limiting what can be built on it anyway

We lease the stadium now and prob has several years to run, so keep that in place but both sides agree on sale within say 2 years.

Ashley would go public and create a huge row.

IMO, if Ashley buys us, it will be post-liquidation. We'll be a Pheonix in League 2 with no debt, sharing a ground until MSD agree a cut price deal for PPS. Ashley will effectively get the club and the ground for less than £10m - and that is Ashley's style.
My biggest worry about that is whether we'll have to miss a season, given the 11th hour nature of all this.

We have gone down to League 1 people say the club isn’t worth what the asking price is for the stadium. Why doesn’t CK agree to rent the stadium off MM for 1 season and if we go back up then may be the clubs value has increased and a deal could be reached. If we don’t go up MM needs to cut his losses

Think we are whittling a bit for no reason. For the safety certificate it gets inspected regularly. It's also different of construction. PP is essentially steel framed with its main columns bolted to concrete pile caps on piles. St. Andrews stand is reinforced concrete mainly. I understand their issues are their bolts at the base and some of the reinforcement that are both encased in concrete and are corroding. The corrosion is from moisture in the ground leaching into the concrete and poor grade bolts. Was only talking to an engineer colleague from our Brum office about it last week.

Thank you, @LeedsCityRam and @Brailsford Ram for bringing alive again that fateful night.
I was one of those "glued" to a transistor radio at home, listening to events unfold. What days they were for those of you privileged to have been there, Brailsford.
To be honest, I was a bit disappointed how low-key the pitch presentation of the players was yesterday, and how little regard the younger fans around me in the stand gave to it.
There is a distinct possibility that without the genius of Clough and Taylor, we would always have remained that nothing club that Shankly described.
Instead we had been taught to "think big" and I feel that this is Clough's true legacy to our club.
Division One may be our temporary destination, but because of these glory days, we will have the spirit and fight to rise again. It's what football is all about really, isn't it?

I was chatting to two young Cardiff fans on the train who said they’d had a ‘fantastic day’
They both missed the goal. One was being sick and the other was asleep!
