Srg reacted to Ellafella in Rams Fans: Stay Positive, Stay Classy
Last season the atmosphere and togetherness was phenomenal. Rams in big numbers home and away inspired the team to keep fighting. The Club had its future hanging by a thread & Fans responded & inspired. The result is that high calibre players have signed because they want to play in that atmosphere. But can Rams fans keep that support going now the context has changed? The learning points for us:
1. Support in big numbers home and away: the cost of living crisis will impact here but Derby is a football city so expect the big numbers to continue. In any case, often the atmosphere was better when PP had 25k than when 30k.
2. Inspiring songs like we fight to the end, Allez Allez, Since I was young…are more likely to insure and raise the Teeam’s energy than Collymore’s a winker and other negative chanting.
There’s a total change of context; we are no longer United in the face of extinction. We will be the big fish, the prime scalp. Teams will play in “Cup Finals” against us and raise their performance 20%. At times Derby will struggle. It’s at these points that we need to stay positive and stay classy and try to raise our new team to higher levels. Generate positive energy which will translate to the Team. Do this and we will move upwards and forwards.
Can’t wait for next Saturday. ?

I'm not convinced you actually watched many games last season if that's your opinion on how we played, at least not many of the home games.

Srg got a reaction from Crewton in Match Thread: Rams vs Leicester (Pride Park, today 1pm)
It wasn’t. The two squads they have for their two games are quite evenly split. Tielemans, for example, is their best player and he played against us.

Did they have any to begin with?
Time they got significant change at the top or folded. Don’t know who they’re serving but themselves.

Classic Ramstrust pushing a 42.6% APR loan as an alternative. Never been fit for purpose. To think these clowns wanted a seat at the top table.

By that token we wouldn’t have signed half the players we have this summer.

I had some time to kill this morning and this whole RamsTrust situation has annoyed me. According to the RamsTrust website under 'Governance' they are FSA members. With that in mind I have sent this correspondence to the FSA. I might just be shouting in to the void, but at least I feel like I've tried.
"Hi,
I hope this correspondence finds you well.
I (and many other Derby County fans) have serious concerns around the RamsTrust supporters group associated with Derby County. The RamsTrust are FSA members, however, I am unsure if raising the governance concerns with regards to the trust in this way is valid or within the remit of the FSA to assist. Any advice would be appreciated.
Since Derby County exited administration they have been unable to offer a direct debit instalment facility to help fans purchase season tickets. The reasons for this have been clearly communicated by the club and a system has been put in place by the club to mitigate the issue. Despite this, the RamsTrust felt it appropriate to suggest that fans take out a high interest loan via a local credit union to cover the cost of season tickets. It also turns out that board members of the RamsTrust may have links to the credit union they referenced.
The tweet in question can be found here: https://twitter.com/RamsTrust/status/1549724373975695360?s=20&t=Kntdhq0gfjcJ7SiaLN_7rA
In addition to this poor advice that may result in fans putting themselves in debt in the midst of a cost of living crisis, RamsTrust have been blocking twitter users that have been highlighting both the poor nature of this advice and the supposed links between the RamsTrust board members and the credit union in question.
In my mind this raises significant concerns with regards to a conflict of interest should these claims be accurate and suggests that the board of the RamsTrust may not be fit for purpose.
As the RamsTrust are FSA members, is it within the remit of the FSA to review this issue and seek a satisfactory explanation from the RamsTrust and if required, consider their position as FSA members?
Best regards,"

Been to 3 or 4 games in Germany now and each one has been fantastic as far as conversations with local fans go. Miss doing it from pre covid a lot.

Srg reacted to Bris Vegas in Women's Euro 2022
The transition from the women’s game to the men’s game would be similar from amateur football to professional football. It’s a huge gap to bridge.
And it works both ways. A manager used to working in the professional game may struggle with the limited ability in the amateur game.
Women’s football is amateur standard. That’s not a criticism. It’s just where it is. So I can understand the reluctance to appoint not just female managers, but also male managers who have only ever coached in the women’s game.
I think you can enjoy the women’s game just like you can enjoy grassroots men’s football. But people are stubborn, and the propaganda and comparisons with top-level men’s game will no doubt be too much for some to handle.

Someone needs to get them to delete that. Very dangerous advice.
Incredible that someone has ‘thought’ about this and decided to post it.
If you are reading this and think it could be an option PLEASE do not do what RamsTrust have said.
Buy your tickets for the first two home games individually and buy your season ticket when the direct debits are sorted.
Maybe you will have to slightly move seats and I know that’s not convenient but it’s a small price to pay in comparison to what RT have suggested.
If anyone from RT is reading this, please delete that tweet and all your incredibly dangerous replies trying to justify it.
