I'm not trying to attack you I'm just asking for a sense of proportion and balance that's all.
I also didn't say that Rooney was abject I was making the point that even with a degree of mitigation Rooney keeping us up was nowhere near the "notable achievement" as you think it were.
With the squad of players we had compared to teams at the bottom of the table and with having a 6 point advantage over one of them to boot we should never, ever have been flirting with relegation never mind surviving on the final day only down to one of our relegations rivals shipping a goal in the 88th minute.
I've also read some comments on here that my mind is closed regards Rooney as a person which is unfair - as I said at the start just want some proportion.

He's still local, believe his kid plays in Little Eaton. Love seeing these guys still playing purely for the love of the game. Saw Paul Green playing against Belper in a friendly pre-season at the ripe old age of 38.

Decided not to go again until Rooney, and Morris, have gone. Can't be bothered with the complete shambles and embarrassment on and off the pitch. Had a season ticket for 20 years, and this isn't about being bad, I've seen us be bad plenty of times. This is in no way a slight at the young lads, I support them as they're doing they best they can being lead by an inept manager. Collectively though, they've killed my love for attending games. I'll return in future.

How long since a league win ? what style are we trying to play ? It’s a shambles on the field with a decent starting 11 , we are open as hell down our right , disjointed going forward and disorganised in defence ,, it’s a joke , ex player with zero management skills and ex pundit with no skill either ,, please god give it to wassell over these clowns

Sibley on through the middle to get near Colin. Bird off, drop Morrison next to Shinnie. Lawrence on the left. Jozwiak for Ebosele.
