Strange because Ed Dawes just said he had spoken to them and they haven't.

I am pretty sure Ed wouldn’t have spoken to both potential owners. Even if he as, nobody  likes to come 2nd in business so they are unlikely to admit to a bid until it’s successful. I am getting very frustrated with the admin team now. They are either oblivious to the social media/ media chatter about today being the day ( which they should have been)or have chosen not to deny it, which they should have if it’s not true. Only so many false dawns some fans can, and should be be expected to take

  2. Allsop 6  nothing to do so can’t give more

Byrne 8 very good both ends of the pitch

Forsyth 7 very solid, shouldn’t have been subbed imho   We need to use him more going forward instead of constantly hitting Festy

    Davies 8 solid

    Cashin 9 supurb

    Bird 8 very good

    Bielik 8 solid

    Knight 8 energy was immense

Ebosele 6 not quite at the races today

Lawrence 5  stupid and he knows it today, will make up for it in the run in

Plange 8. Would love to see him in a front 3 rather thin his own but we don’t have the squad to allow it. Just hope Palace realise another season on loan would be better than bench warming for his development

    Yeah, that's it Tom.

    Get yourself on holiday, lad.

How about giving 2 weeks of your wages back to the club whilst you're sunning yourself.

    Dick.

I’m sorry but this is bow locks. He made a stupid mistake but doesn’t deserve the stick he’s getting. He has won us lots of points this season and without him we would be nowhere near safety. The togetherness of the players and fans this season is remarkable. We don’t need or want this negativity… shameful post

  4. He was excellent  today but it must be said against terrible opponents. But you can only play against what’s in front of you. He must keep his place and suspect Wayne may put Stearman in too as a back 3. With Lawrence missing we will probably need creativity from out wide.

Well hope Wayne as Derby's interest first, rather than the Premier league for they have had enough young talent from our academy for peanuts through administration, lets hope Festy will want to stay rather than Derby recieve nothing for him, after bringing him through at the clubs expence, a bit of loyalty from Festy would be nice

I think he’s shown incredible  loyalty and passion for the club already. A lesser man would have jumped ship. I do expect he will sign a new contract with us if we are allowed to offer him one before the season is over. But if we can’t stay up and keep Rooney. He can leave with his head held high be that for a fee or otherwise imho

We're going to be under a business plan aren't we? No way we'll be signing anything like 12 for fees.

3 or 4 freebies maybe a couple of small fees and 2 or 3 loans I reckon.

The business plan depends on who (if anyone) takes us over. With our crowd ( even if we are league 1) we can have a generous player budget and still be a sustainable business. If MA or anyone else is prepared to fund us to the EFL’s allowed limits. It will allow for a decent amount of accusations ( not 12 though)

Why would Wayne advice Festy to aim higher?  If we drop to L1 sure Wayne and new owner would be intending to bounce straight back up and then onto the Premier league and hopefully Festy will be in that equation, learning his trade on the way up.

Simply because I believe Wayne has the best interests of the young players at the forefront of his thinking. He played in the premier league a lot younger than Festy is now. If he thinks that’s where Festy should be, I think he’s a far better man than to be selfish and stand in his way or try to persuade him to stick around

A season in League 1 might not be the worst thing for Festy. As good as he is in any ordinary season he would probably be out on loan to a lower league club. He’s great to watch but still very raw. He has flashes of brilliance but a lot of moments where he makes poor decisions but that is what happens with young players. We definitely need to tie him down if we can. If for nothing else to protect his value.

The only thing that has kept Festy here and could possibly keep him is Wayne Rooney. If Wayne stays, Festy may also  but I suspect Wayne will advise him to aim higher than league 1 if we go down.

You only have to look at his career to know he’s a wasted talent. But you know let’s not write him off, one bit of magic from him could keep us up ?

With our squad size and the fact we are bound to get injuries and the likes of Thompson are struggling with confidence. He will need to step up. This pressure and responsibility may be the making of him ?

At this moment in time the lads must feeling down I know this sounds a bit risky but I could see a team building night out with family eathier bowling crazy golf and then rest of the week get down to hard work.

Free night at the Cinema? If only we knew someone who could let em all in for nowt? can’t watch an 18 though, half the squad won’t be allowed in

  11. On to next week and can’t wait. A full weeks rest and go again. I expect a win. Not sure what I want to happen midweek with Peterborough and Reading. I suppose a draw is best but wouldn’t mind Peterborough sneaking it. Reading fans trying to attack  their own manager  according to bbc
