RamontheMoor reacted to JuanFloEvraTheCocu'sNesta in Curtis Davies - signed 1-year deal
If Davies ends up sticking with us he will go down as one of my favourite Derby players of all time
What a player. What a man.

Typical, isn't it? All these agents sapping the game dry, and the one time an agent puts money into a club he gets punished for it.

This is the biggest sign something was going wrong.
He's an active man on twitter, then he's just disappeared. He's a coward in my eyes..... if its gone tits up, money not gone through, whatever, just be a man, explain you've messed up and apologise.
I don't agree with any abuse he or anyone else gets, but if he just said yeah look, my finances have gone to s***, it won't pass AML, whatever, then he'll get a lot more understanding voices. The worst thing you can do after giving it the biggun, is falling off the face of the earth

Oh, I don't know.
I'm quite excited at the prospect of rewording our famous little ditty, going again, and seeing how close we get this time...

The admin, Kirchner, Morris have collectively agreed the deal can not be completed until this forum hits 1884.

Nixon again suggests it’s not over…yet. I’m off on the school run in a mo, will no doubt spend the day refreshing the site and Twitter awaiting official confirmation. It is currently only speculation so trying not to panic too much, but not looking good. For what it’s worth I do still think the club will be saved by someone (Ashley or Appleby perhaps) but IF it is true then the damage of this CK bid failing at the 11th hour will be massive in terms of Rooney, the squad and planning for next season.

Wow. I know we’ve been through hell (in football terms) for the last 12-24 months but come on, I can’t believe people are actually genuinely concerned about this. He has the money, he’s proven to everyone concerned including the EFL he has the money, they wanted to conclude it before this week so didn’t think about the ramifications of the holidays this week, with so many moving parts to a deal and when you’re absolutely focussed on getting the deal done things like this can be overlooked even by the professionals.
I think some people need to chill out. At some point in the next week (imminently ?) we will begin our new era. ?

No it's automatic. I can only assume Derby have gone back to 1992 and require someone to volunteer for bank holiday overtime to count out 30 million in £10 notes.
It'll take him till June 6th to count it out, see you after this bank holiday.

My hopes for this week
1 formal announcement by Kirch of sale completed
2 Efl confirm approval with end of embargo but with business plan
3 quantuma confirm the end of admin and their role in running the Club
4 confirmation that the stadium is under new ownership with a long term lease in place with the Club allowed to buy in future
5 Rooney agrees new contract
6 Cook appointed as CE
7 some new contracts accepted others offered
8 season tickets on sale at a competitive price with 10k sold by the weekend
9 1 new signing
10 Forest under investigation and a legal claim in place by Huddersfield

RamontheMoor reacted to MackworthRamIsGod in Malcolm Ebiowei
Ebiowei is not good enough, he won't make it passed league 1 imo.
So probably best he just stay at Derby, work on his game and see where he ends up...

Having his name associated with the city is massive in itself.
Clever from the councillors.

Comments like this make me think the purchase of the stadium is nowhere.
I don't want to see "Options Open" - I want to see "The Purchasing process has been agreed and we're now going through the fine print" - this message from Derby CC is disheartening to say the least.

RamontheMoor reacted to Rev in Chris Coles leaving Radio Derby in July
Good news, if he's going on to a bigger and more high profile platform, although he'll be a loss to Radio Derby listeners.
He's been the voice of reason for some time on Radio Derby, a great foil for Ed Dawes, and fully deserves a wider audience for his undoubted talent.
Good luck Chris, it's been a pleasure to listen to you these past few years.

A sad loss to the RD team and us, their listeners. Grew into the role over the past few years and has become a very accomplished broadcaster. I like his tone snd manner. All the best for the future, Chris.

RamontheMoor reacted to On the Ram Page in Thank You Rams TV
Although an avid reader, I rarely contribute to this site, but couldn’t let the season pass without a ‘Shout Out’ for Rams TV.
Throughout a traumatic season, although in many ways a hugely enjoyable one, there have been many accolades for the Team, Coaching Staff and back room staff. Part of that back room staff has been Rams TV and what a part they have played this season, although rarely mentioned in those accolades.
Dare I say that Owen Bradley has been one of Mel Morris’s best signings! I admired him on Radio Derby but he has grown to a new level over the last year or so (despite occasional dress malfunctions!). Always professional, reasoned and grounded (Mr Dawes at RD take note), his commentaries and interviews are always a good listen. Shaun Barker has added to mix this year and has been very listenable. A great combination.
I am sure that our potential new owner has been avidly watching their work in the USA over the last few weeks and hopefully, after the players, he will ensure that they are signed up for a prolonged period.
I don’t know if Owen reads this site, but if not, and someone knows him, please pass on, at least my thanks for his great work this year. He is the spokesperson for Rams TV but obviously has a great team behind him.
Well done Rams TV
