Mihangel got a reaction from Kathcairns in Wayne Rooney
A little cynical but nothing too much wrong with that. For me, the club still exists - That's obviously the most important thing. If it weren't for Rooney galvanising the team, the club and, to a point, the fans/city would those big crowds have happened? Would the protests happened to the extent that they did? Where would be right now?
Throughout the last 18-24 months Rooney is pretty much the only constant outside of the players, he's stood head and shoulders above owners, prospective owners, politicians, the EFL, 'experts''/pundits/journos/ITKs, other clubs' owners and officials. He's pretty much the ONLY person I can think of (outside of players) who is obviously in credit after all of this. So yeah, I'm happy with it.

Mihangel got a reaction from r_wilcockson in Who is in the running to buy Pride Park?
It's pretty poor journalism all round. The ground would never be bought by the ltd company, that's not their business so the Athletic is clearly inaccurate, likewise the DET should realise that.....

I'm not sure there is a club that has gone up in the last 10 years doing it the 'right' way? The only clubs that get found out for doing it the 'wrong' way though are those that don't make it! Football is nuts....

In fairness, you have to see that in the context of attendances at that time, that average put us above 4 of the top division clubs, those mighty clubs Villa and Forest averaged 15 and 16k respectively. In today's terms, that would have us over 30k which is very unlikely but still.....

Businessman plans to pay the lowest price he can for a business and wants that business to pay its own debts? Absolutely shocking news.

He didn't say that. He just said for the "glory days" to return. Last season was glorious. It was glorious under Cox and Smith, even Mac1. Glory takes different forms.
FYI the second title was won with Dave Mackay, not Clough, in charge.

I just don't care what other club fans think. We've been through the grinder for the past 2 years and yet Derby County Football Club lives on.
We have survived and will go on, possibly to better and higher things. Perhaps not this year, or next, but this could be the start of a beautiful renaissance.
Let the season begin!!!
