Reggie Greenwood reacted to BaaLocks in Hypocrisy !
While I will support England as a team I revile England fans - they never fail to show everything that is bad about our country, remain tainted in right wing bias and overly 'Brexity' patriotism. Very little endearing about them, booing the national anthems being a good case in point. Remember standing outside a pub in London in the 80s (we were playing Brazil) and watching a group of England fans lobbing pint pots onto anyone black who walked through the underpass below. Sorry, but much of that way of thinking is still present in 'the' England fan and it is why nothing could convince me to actually go watch them live ever again.

Reggie Greenwood reacted to jono in Man Utd Preseason, the return of the fan
I am going to try and get a ticket .. even with 8k in the ground I’d love just to be back. I want to see some lads in black and white in our ground. Need to remind myself what’s it’s like and 8k is hopefully enough to stop it sounding like the school trip to the swimming baths ?

Reggie Greenwood reacted to Brammie Steve in The Downfall of Derby County: How it happened
I agree totally.
We've been to the pinnacle of success in the 50+ years that I've followed them.
Taken out of context it is always easy to make exaggerated claims to failure and doom.
The "Downfall" is almost based on a few weeks or months seen through the blinkered and myopic eyes of someone with a short attention span.
Has anyone else noticed that whenever there is a 'national poll' to decide, for example, the best song/ singer/ etc. of the past fifty years the top ten includes mainly current songs and 'celebrities' most of which are forgotten by the following years poll!
Derby have not experienced a downfall.
Not many clubs have won the English League twice in the past 50 years except the "Super Six" (except Spurs) who showed their true colours recently.
We'll be back! Is our long-term motto!

Reggie Greenwood reacted to RoyMac5 in The Downfall of Derby County: How it happened
I can't be bothered to watch, I've lived it. It's undoubtedly been a rollercoaster of a ride supporting the club. But I see no reason why 'devastating honesty' has to be linked with 'undeniably negative'. We've had great times even if the club has not (yet) hit the heights we all hoped for.
Can't change the past can only use it to look forward to the new future of the Club! Come on you Rams!

A very special piece of DCFC history from our most successful period, from the greatest management partnership in football ever, the man who spotted the players to make our team ! Peter Taylors club blazer & Tie from 1972/74 up to when he resigned, entrusted to us at the Rams Heritage Trust by his daughter @WendyDickinson5,

Peter Taylor’s Official FA blazer and tie from when he and Brian Clough took charge of the England Youth team! Would England have waited 55 years for football to come home if they had of been given the top job? Doubt it, Entrusted to safe keeping by his daughter Wendy Dickinson.

Wasn’t this purely because we were about to be taken over ? and like all company’s that change hands there has to be a period in time where assets and monies are frozen to enable the transaction to be completed
with something as complicated as a football club sale .. and with what turns out to have been a damp squib of a potential new ownership group it’s seems to me the the efl have taken the first possible opportunity to slap their dicks in our face ?
have we a history of not paying our players ? No
have we not paid our players before ? No
was this because of factors outside of our control ? Yes
if the bzr hadn’t taken Mel and the club for a ride then this would never have happened
think it’s a fricking P take quite frankly and part of their “with regret” couldnt contest the DC and their 100k fine
think they’re being utter ********* towards us quite frankly and won’t rest til they have what they want out of this whole situation

So if you are selling your house and contracts are being exchanged you would pay the next instalment of your mortgage , council tax bills etc just in case even though legally you are not obliged to do so ?

Should I say at the point of sale then. Then if the sale falls through at the last minute you would make other arrangements to pay when known which is precisely what Mel did.

It is his fault. For at least trusting the 'promise' of an investor. Seems a remarkably cavalier approach to payment of employees' salaries.

Think your being a bit harsh mate
if the club were as close t a takeover as possible then like any business changing hands accounts and have to be frozen in a period in time to enable a transfer
someone with greater knowledge on this than we I’m sure will be able to explain it better

Reggie Greenwood got a reaction from Angry Ram in Government Survey on the Running of Football in England
Agreed from my experience back in the aftermath of Maxwell when various directors were vying for power when Lionel was taking over fan groups were used to pass on messages , given platitudes and they when not useful anymore patted on the head and told to run along. Can’t think it’s changed now. Also so many politics involved in the fan groups as to who should be on the board and what the involvement should be.
-
Reggie Greenwood reacted to Angry Ram in Government Survey on the Running of Football in England
Done.. Struggled with the fan involvement at board level. Bit of a minefield that as we have seen here.. How do you appoint that group?
Rams Trust, got absolutely mullered when they wrote to the club. Would it make things more devise? I dunno.. We've already seen having a fan on the board is disaster.
The devil is always in the detail on these things.

Well the medicine is the current DC punishment which we will take. You keep saying we should stop fighting. This is difficult whilst ever the EFL keep throwing punches (to use your fight analogy) How exactly do we achieve what you are suggesting? I'd love to know.

We are also at the cricket, but would have otherwise gone to the game.
I can't believe people are moaning about the price after eighteen months without a live game of football.
Don't like it, don't go. Plenty will.

Reggie Greenwood got a reaction from Kathcairns in At What Point Do You Cancel Your Season Ticket?
I support the Rams thick or thin. Ambition has nothing to do with anything they are my club and will go whether they are top of the Prem or bottom of Div 100.
That’s how I feel others may differ
