Just watched Collins interview with ramstv says he’s spoken to a couple players who he expects to come in. Putting 2+2 together Sonny Bradley and Mark Harris spring to mind 

Hasnt his ideal age banding gone up by 2 years today also? 

Not the most optimistic of updates from Warne. I get them trying to play down budgets etc. but the comments about us competing with half the teams in this league getting a striker in is a bit worrying. Does seem at odds with Clowes quotes last week. If it was half the league above then fair enough. But surely we can beat ANY league 1 team to a forward. 

Knight will have to be replaced. As will Didzy. No pressure there. 

Bidding big money on a player who will have no resale value. I doubt DC would allow that to happen at the club again. Most likely a lazy link.
I'm fine with Warne bringing in those peak footballers on freebies. We shouldn't be spending transfer fees on these kind of players though unless it's very small.

Why is there an assumption that we have to sell Knight before we buy anyone?
Clowes indicated we have a sizeable budget and it would be enough to get out of this league!

I like this, rather than taking an unfinished loanee from somewhere and developing them for someone else, we could maybe be developing our own player instead. Would be happy with one or two similar players on the bench/around the squad.

I imagine one for the U21 with potential to possibly break through?

Cannot confirm or deny, however a few players are training with us so hopefully Sonny is one 🤞🏻

Big season for him this year, probably the player with most ‘potential’ to be shaped into a Warne type player with players like Bird and Sibley already having their style of football clear. 
 
If Warne can shape him into a box to box style midfielder rather than a defensive midfielder he could probably do a similar job to Knight.

He was 19 when last season started and the assessment was based on last season which was my point. Unlike some of that age, he hadn't been exposed to senior football and half a dozen games, in my opinion, is nowhere hear enough to then say he's not good enough.

Wouldn’t call 0 league minutes much of an opportunity, was also our best player in the cup win against West Brom, kept high quality experienced wingers very quiet

Best take so far is that Darren Robinson is in the pre season video, hopefully means he’ll be a big player for us. You don’t get called up to your national team at 17 for nothing 

I find it quite sad that some posters want to jettison our best young players who came through the academy. We'll never have a team full of academy products, but surely seeing players make debuts at 16, 17 , 18 and establish themselves in the team, especially local lads, is part of the romance of football.
Anyone who isn't interested in that romance and is purely on a craven pursuit of success is frankly supporting the wrong team.

Money, wages, injuries, yeah, yeah.
I just like to see quality players at the club. That man mountain could play a bit.
Ok, we move on. Let's hope it's upwards soon so we can start recruiting quality again.

Good luck Krystian had bad luck with injuries but could never fault his efforts on the pitch we over paid for him but that is not his fault. 
The goal against Birmingham execution and emotion will live long in my memory. 
 

Shocked by the amount of negativity towards Bird. I think he’s one of the most cultured and technically gifted players we’ve produced in years and would much rather hold onto him over Knight or Sibley.
Unfortunately I don’t think we’ll see the best of him under PW; he seems to favour the Bryson/Knight type of midfielder from what I’ve seen so far. My only hope for him in the immediate is that Warne can give him the Barlaser treatment as the 1 in a 3-1-4-2

I'm not keen on loaning out either Rooney or Thompson as I think both are good enough to be in the starting XI or on the bench.

No idea on the length of deals offered 
Expect Knight to leave, Bielik very close to Brum. 

For me that decent last ball could easily come from Bird. If we have to sell Knighty to get a couple of decent strikers in then so be it. Bird is a much smarter player and even last season made a big difference as could be seen when he was injured.

Or I hear stuff and instead of gatekeeping it, I want to share with my fellow rams fans. It’s never going to be 100% correct because things change. But to call me insecure and lonely is just a bit rude to be honest 

Wouldn’t let Jake Rooney go anywhere, he should 100% be in the squad 

I'm at the stage where I don't care who the first signing is. I just want to be informed on the morning of the first day of the transfer window, that we have signed a player. Quickly followed by the announcement of at the least 5 or 6 more signings.
I don't want to see weeks of speculation on who's coming or more worryingly going. I want us to have our squad sorted with the exceptions of a few loan players before they report for preseason training.
