Agreed, never really understood the hype. Bit lightweight. Overtaken by the likes of Thompson in the team.
A bit surprised by the choice of club - Luton's style of route one, physical play is about the opposite of what he's about, but best of luck to him.

Seems to be a lot of bitterness on here. Came to us as a young lad with very high (unreasonably high you might argue) expectations after one good season at Ipswich. Went through some very tough personal times as he grew up with us, and yes he made some stupid decisions (don't we all in our mid 20s?) but I think he has handled himself very well since the Joiners incident and had matured last season, which was the best (imo) he had with us.
I think it's a shame he's leaving but wish him all the best.

I would agree with all of this except his sending off against Peterborough was unforgivable.
We we’re 1-0 up against ten men and he allowed himself to be wound up by a slap which went unpunished. His subsequent lunge was a definite straight red.
We lost the three games he missed after building some momentum and our season never really recovered.
However he did produce some wonderful moments for us during his time here.

This. To suggest we have got off lightly out of this is utterly ludicrous (though not as ludicrous as the use of the word "gotten"). Only Forest and Leeds fans would think it fair if we started next season with further sanction.

After 37 years service, Steve Nicholson finishes his reporting of Derby. No matter what you think of his articles now during the click bait world of the Derby Live website, he's been an absolutely outstanding linchpin to Derby media over the years. Before the social media world he, along with RD, were the number one source for all things Derby. I wish Steve all the best with whatever he does now, wherever it's retirement or somewhere new without the pressures of clickbait and online adverts. Thank you for all your hard work over 37 years Steve!

Yes, you're probably right. Despite all that, he's factually right. Derby won't win the Premiership. No-one will, ever. It was scrapped in 2008. Idiot. If he can't even get the title right what hope does he client have?

If the administrators extend again and therefore continue to prevaricate on a deal that looks dead in the water while another person is allegedly willing to take us out of administration, what are their motives?

I disagree in that I am always thinking of the Premier League. I don't want us ever not to have that ambition. The sooner the better. Whether CK can deliver on that is a key question for me.
Ashley has the money and the experience of running a club and his only reason for owning us would be eventually to own a Premier League club. Plus his distribution centre is in Derbyshire. I don't understand Kirchner's motivation for buying us except to rub shoulders with Rooney and receive the adulation of the fans. I hope he does have the money (but if he did he surely wouldn't need other people to buy the ground for him) and there are better reasons for him to be involved, but I don't understand what they are.

I agree re Erin, he would have been my young player of the year. Also about Knighty, who I think is a brilliant player with a great future and a smashing lad.
At the awards night after party Erin also demonstrated a strong ability to stand up when his legs were quite clearly telling him to fall over. They nearly won on a couple of occasions ??.

Really enjoyed the awards night last night. I know a few of the players so was nice to be able to have a good chat with a few of them. I don't expect to see Lawrence, Bielek and Byrne here next season from the vibes, while the likes of Fozzy and Kelle will wait and see what the club is able to offer them. Luke Plange, who I'd not met before, was a very polite young man.
Good to hear Rooney saying he'll commit. On the whole the mood was very positive and upbeat.
