taffyram reacted to angieram in Ryan Conway has left the Athletic
He's 22. It's probably a big break for him.
He will have plenty to write about and he'll get to ask Rooney questions. What's not to like?

He's writing an informal intro piece, not a dissertation.

taffyram reacted to Ambitious in Ryan Conway has left the Athletic
All the best to Ryan. He was a good value on Twitter, despite not subscribing to the Athletic, he was very visible and seemed passionate. It's never nice when personal reasons stop people from doing their jobs.
I hope he gets the opportunity to report on a much less chaotic entity than Derby County in his next role, something like the Taliban's takeover of Afghanistan & the middle east.

taffyram reacted to Ewe Ram in Fozzy
The bloke who sits next to me hates him and over the years has never stopped berating him - till this season, he’s mellowed no end thankfully, Fozzy has long been my unsung hero.
A colleague knows him and his wife and says that he is a genuinely lovely man personally too.

taffyram reacted to Archie in Fozzy
Not too far away from a testimonial.
Always liked Fozzy and as some have said, his experience is invaluable for us this season. He is now our Mr Derby County. He's seen a hell of a lot of change at the club in the time he's been here, suffered with some terrible injuries but has always been fit/focussed enough to bounce back.
Definitely needs his own song, this season more than any other.

taffyram reacted to Wistaston Ram in Fozzy
I am a big fan. Considering he has had three serious knee injuries, I am amazed he is still playing to such a high standard. His strength of character is going to be important to this team for the rest of the season.

I think Fozzy, who has taken a lot of stick the past few seasons has really stepped up to the plate in the last few games. Showing how much he cares. Deserves recognition for showing the young uns a real example. Showed his worth today when replacing Stearman.

If I am not mistaken one of them is me. You can rule me out as a potential investor though as I am saving to cover my next electrical installation requirement.

Maybe he fancies a game, he’s about the right age profile

Well bound made more money owning states club and all products get sold with his name on it.
And perhaps even sir Alex fergerson would be willing to invest in us as well.
But it could be anyone but it would be nice to have a owner with some money behind them. Get rid of embargo and adminstration.

He’s one of our own ! Young Jack O’Connell paid us a visit yesterday, he was sat just in front of me and was with his mum, he was loving the atmosphere from the South Stand and it was great to see him, I had a chat with him and asked if he had a spare £60 million. Good to see him maintaining his roots ! Top lad !

taffyram reacted to RoyMac5 in Long Keogh piece in the Guardian
Read the stuff he says - and then think of ALL the things that aren't mentioned. "Then came the ill-fated decision. Keogh had missed his lift home..." ? Jack-a-bloody-nory.
No mention of taxis, seatbelts, him being captain - the player he doesn't name (a v young player!), etc etc

taffyram reacted to Sparkle in November games moved for Sky
Bottom of the league and Sky TV still want us on the TV - I know we are way down on our attendances this season but Sky must be sick of having sub 15,000 crowds - they must also think we are more interesting than the likes of Bristol city, PNE etc

taffyram reacted to Comrade 86 in Shinniesta
Has taken some pelters this season. Form may be temporary but this lad is class and a born fighter too. Absolutely dominant in midfield today and played two or three sublime passes that really deserved to end in goals. In a dogfight, this lad's the first name on the team-sheet for me. I bet he's absolutely horrible to play against.
A quick shout out to Ryan Allsop too. Tough start to his Derby career, but didn't crumble. He was excellent tonight.
