The single most moronic post I've ever read on this forum. Congratulations.

I doubt it’ll take that much!

Perhaps he likes orange? Would be typical of us to get someone's fitness levels up for another team's benefit

Didn't know whether to put this under the Transfer Forum 😉

Is waggy linked with coming back? They've kept that quiet.

We've been doing that for 9 years of academy with the better youngsters it appears to lose them for nowt. 9 days is but a blip.

Technically it doesn't matter. If we bought them for a substantial fee then I'd be worried but If they're freebies and they get us promoted, it enables us to save and build a healthy budget next year in the championship where we can be a better draw for the better players.
And then proceed to rocket up the leagues whilst flipping the V at all those that deserted us when in need
Perfect.

I’d love living next door to you. I’d have the tallest fence possible.

Aw, I thought we were getting doctor who in then.
He could just go back in time and trip Zamora up.
(still makes me sad that there’s an alternate universe out there somewhere where he didn’t score, and we’re now European power houses).

The logical extension of your argument is that you want a manager who is not blunt and straightforward, one who is dishonest with the players he wants to come to the club or with the players already here. The very opposite of our greatest ever manager perhaps. And that despite the fact that only one person will get the sack should the players not perform.
In interview after interview by players from every club you will get comments along the lines of: ‘I just want to know where I stand’; ‘I like manager X because he’s been honest with me’. Every good manager in the history of football sets standards, lets their players know what is expected of them on and off the pitch. I can’t see that Warne is doing anything that players won’t expect or like in that regard and if he’s also upholding the standards he sets then well done him.

Exactly the same. For once was pleased with the bad traffic. Really enjoyed it and listening to him. Also found his comments on what they are doing around the club generally to try and improve the team ethic interesting to hear. I was not a fan at all on his appointment - liked Liam and contrarily how people kept going on about his great personality really annoyed me and made me think the opposite. But he has totally won me over, cheesy dad jokes and all. Can see why Mr Clowes thought he and his team were what the club needed to have around for the rebuild after that miserable 2-3 years.

Missed it last night so I listened to it on my way to work this morning. I really enjoyed it and could listen to him all day. I like his ideas on leadership and culture and, as he admires Klopp and his type of football, I like his football philosophy. I’d rather watch Liverpool when they’re at it than Man City any day of the week.
Obviously he wants a striker or 2 but interesting to hear his comments on Collins. If he can stay in the middle of the pitch and in and around the penalty area he’ll get more goals. Totally agree, I think Collins will have a good season.
Can’t wait for Saturday 🐏.

Not really - not being able to offer longer deals to our youngsters and them being systematically taken has been the biggest punishment from Mel's actions. Ironic given his wishes for the academy.

Wasn’t too fussed about losing Knight, a good player but didn’t think he had much of an impact last season and not really sure what he is and where he fits. If we lose Bird, then I won’t deny, I will be in full on meltdown!! Our best run last season he was at the centre of everything our dip coincided with when he got injured. I haven’t watched preseason but from what I’ve heard he’s looked good, im expecting him to be the standout midfielder in the league this season. Seen comment that he’s overrated, on the contrary I think he’s underrated. Could do more in attacking third but good positional sense defensively excellent on the ball with a good passing range, said it before IMO he’s the best of his generation coming through the academy. Unless we’re going to use the money to improve the team, this makes absolutely no sense to me!!
We’ve got to get out of this league to stop likes of Bristol and Hull being able to take our best players, we’d have a better chance with Bird, price him out of a move and risk him leaving on a free or a small tribunal fee next summer. If we get promoted I reckon he’d sign a new deal!!
