That would be the season where the self proclaimed best fans in the universe ever got 4000 less when I went to St James Park than we had at home.  Try telling one of them they were averaging about 15k a match and they'll at you like they're going to spontaneously combust . True though

We cannot replicate the march. It was a product of a unique feeling of togetherness and desperation of our fan base, this was a time when many of us felt extinction was beckoning for an institution that had served our community since before any of us were born. The march whilst beautiful to witness, showing off the very best characteristics not just of Derby but of football in general, was also horrifying in the sense we felt we had to do it at all. I genuinely hope no other fan base feels the need to march like we did in an attempt to highlight our club's plight and fight for survival.
Everyone who participated should not only feel proud that they came out but have now entered Derby folklore. Generations will speak of that march not unlike we discuss the big European nights under the baseball ground lights. Except, in this version the fans are the heroes, the ones who stepped up and demanded resolutions. United not divided we all helped save the club from oblivion. For that reason I believe the club should mark that date every year with some kind of tribute.
Perhaps a video with players and former management with what it meant to them would be appropriate as well as interviewing fans who participated on the march accompanied by the silent drone footage which shows the sheer scale of it all. If we got to Wembley instead of playing steve bloomer's watching I'd see if I could get that shown pre-match tbh.

Leeds Ram got a reaction from LeedsCityRam in Paul Warne appointed as Head Coach
Of course we're all enjoying the run. I was cheering in the living room when we scored that late winner against port vale just as everyone else was. I do think Warne will get us out the division, if not this season then next and he is proving more adaptable than I previously thought, in formation if nothing else. However, long term i still question the appointment, but my record for predictions is terrible so I'll most likely be wrong. Let's just all enjoy having a well run club, supported to the hilt, and hopefully promotion around the corner at Wembley with 45,000 rams fans!

I suppose it's just a coincidence then that you get a free copy of The Communist Manifesto (signed by Rammie) when you join. And I presume all Trusts have pictures of Castro and Chairman Mao over the walls of their heavily defended compound?

I'd be slightly concerned if members' political persuasions was a discussion point at Rams Trust meetings. The idea that there's some left-wing conspiracy at the top sounds completely pie in the sky.

Watching it on rams tv the away end sounded absolutely immense. It looked like one of those nights where we just weren't going to score. But Warne has molded this team into a machine that chews out results and batters teams. If Vale's legs went that's because they were under constant pressure for the final 30 minutes that they eventually broke. We had half a dozen chances that should have ended in a goal. They can have few complaints, apart from a 10 minute spell where they could have scored a 2nd and put it beyond us they didn't look like winning the game.
Even if we get in the playoffs who is really going to want to face us? If we're firing on all cylinders and keep our players fit then on current form I fancy us against anyone. I think davies and forsyth as a pairing are vulnerable to pace in our current tactic, something which makes getting cashin back so important. But we have options up front to mix it up, again perhaps one more body would be helpful. But our midfield looks a standard above most of the division atm.

Just got home, I'm hoarse, got sore knees from too much bouncing and ringing in my ears from the absolute bonkers noise in the away end.
It's nights like these that David Clowes has given us back when they were so nearly taken away from us.
As for arguing about budgets and squad values, tonight of all nights!  There's only one thing you need to know - the togetherness of owner, squad, fans - it is priceless.

Derby are the worst big team I've seen this season that's for sure
they also have the most deluded bunch of fans as well. Proper bunch of helmets. They can thank their lucky stars we were without Wilson and Harrison this evening
it would not surprise me if we play them next season.

Subpar most of the evening, but find the character to pull that out of the bag. That's what separates between good teams and great teams.
This season has a very good feeling about it...

Leeds Ram got a reaction from Srg in Chrissy Martin
Love Chrissy Martin although I fiercely advocated against his signing when Clough got him from Norwich. I just couldn't see where the goals would come from and boy was I wrong. I think he'd fit Warne ball very nicely tbh. He'd hold the ball up, win free kicks, and he has that sneaky streak which his teams occupy. Defenders generally hate playing against him and given Warne loves to cross his aerial presence would help.
Given that we can't pay fees and are limited in wages maybe bringing him back would be a good idea. He could alternate with Mcgoldrick giving us something a bit different. Yet, people will be wanting prime Martin which inevitably he is not now. He does seem to have a problem if he isn't getting first team football all the time which could also be an issue. It'd be very romantic if nothing else but am not sure if we'd be better off trying to get someone just a bit younger in.

Leeds Ram got a reaction from LazloW in Stephen Pearce...didn't get out of our club
Personally, as someone who knows nothing about the mechanics of the business or his role personally then i don't hold any weight behind my opinion on this really. However, I find it disgraceful that he's still around and i think it's pretty shameless on his part that he feels like he should still continue in his role.
I can't envisage a scenario outside of either knew what Mel was doing and the situation (in which case he's implicated in almost destroying the club) or he didn't know in which case he's a complete incompetent. His media appearances around that time trying to reassure the fan base when we were clearly on the verge of collapse are in perspective absolutely mind boggling.
But as I said I don't know what went on or anything else. Hopefully, one day they'll be an expose on the entire sorry mess. But Pearce by virtue of his position  played a massive part in almost destroying a 138 year old institution.
On Quantuma does anyone really trust their judgement after the multiple preferred bidders, some of which look like they're facing criminal charges and others simply having no money at all. They were bailed out by Clowes as much as we were

    I'll just leave this here.
IS FOOTBALL ON THE TERRACES GOING BACK TO THE 80'S IDIOT'S FIGHTING ABUSE BEING AIMED AT NOT JUST THE OPOSITION BUT ALSO THEIR OWN FAN'S .
EVERTON FANS WITH DEATH THREATS TOWARDS BILL KENWRIGHT. THE LADY CHIEF EXECUTIVE PUT IN A HEADLOCK BY A SUPPORTER ,THE BOARD ADVISED TO STAY AT HOME FOR THEIR OWN SAFETY.
SCUNTHORPE FANS INVADING THE PITCH WITH FLARES TO PROTEST AGAINST THE OWNERS.
WHEN DERBY WAS PUT INTO ADMINISTRATION BY THE LAST OWNER. MOST OF THE SUPPORTERS STAGED PEACEFUL PROTESTS, WITH THE ODD FEW HELL BENT ON HURLING ABUSE OUTSIDE M.M'S HOME (THIS IS UNFORGIVABLE BEHAVIOUR). AND IT'S GETTING EVEN WORSE .DISABLED SUPPORTERS ARE NOT TREATED WELL BY SOME OF OUR OWN FAN'S OR SOME OF THE OPPOSITION CLUB'S. STEWARD'S (YESTERDAY'S NOT INCLUDED IN THIS RANT).
AT DERBY'S GAME WITH CHELTENHAM AN AMBULANT DISABLED SUPPORTER WAS VERBALLY ABUSED BY A MAN WHO WAS WITH HIS YOUNG SON. THE MOTHER OF THE
YOUNG LADY POLITELY ASKED THE MAN BEHIND TO BE CAREFUL  AS HER DAUGHTER WAS DISABLED AND HAD A BRAIN TUMOUR .
THE MAN THEN SAID WELL F...ING LEAVE HER AT HOME.
THE MANS YOUNG SON LOOKED AT HIS FATHER AND SEEMED EMBARRASSED .
I JUST WONDER LISTENING TO SOME OF THESE PEOPLES LANGUAGE IN FRONT OF THEIR OWN YOUNGSTERS WHAT THE CHILDREN ARE GOING TO GROW UP LIKE.
UNFORTUNATELY THE LADY DIDN'T GET THE SEAT NUMBER OF THE MAN OR HE COULD HAVE BEEN REPORTED TO DERBY.
IT IS ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING THAT OUR DISABLED FAN'S CAN'T ATTEND A GAME IN COMFORT. AND THAT FANS CAN'T JUST DO PEACEFUL PROTESTS.
THE FA SHOULD INSIST AND FUND IF NECESSARY ALL CLUB'S  TO ENSURE WHEELCHAIR AND AMBULANT SUPPORTER ARE SITUATED IN A PART OF THE STADIUM WHERE THEY CAN SEE THE GAME IN COMFORT AND FREE FROM THE FEAR OF INJURY AND ABUSE.
