I’m afraid I think that’s it. Completely outmuscled and out-fought this half. I think passing the ball backwards for 20 minutes after we scored was a big mistake, we should have gone for the throat whilst they were all over the place but we didn’t. Sadly I think tonight has sealed relegation as with more injuries and results elsewhere it isn’t going to happen. A really disappointing night.

    Has one been done yet?
    If not, here it is.
Bound to be a goal fest - Simon Garner v Bobby Davison. It’s on Tuesday or Wednesday at Ewood Park. We never win there, except when we do.
EFL have decided to give Blackburn a penalty that wins them the game. There’s an email probably. We will fight to the end though.

Good man, stay single. Don't let yourself into a life of misery, before you know it you'll be hen pecked non stop, everything will be your fault, the way you fold towels will be wrong, you'll peg washing out the wrong way.
    The list is endless.

Morning Rams, A Hatter in peace here. First of all, may I say how the majority of you have handled the points deduction has been great to see. I can assure you that us Hatters know what it's like to have been screwed over by the EFL and the FA. I must admit I'm a bit concerned today that our run will come to an end and you will grab the three points. Great to see Curtis Davies is still so loved at Derby. He was an exceptional young player when he was with us and im Glad he continues to do well. All the best in your fight against the so called authorities and with the exception of today all the best for the season.

I can pretty much guarantee that Mason Bennett won’t grow into a wise old man! ?
Your original post was truly excellent but you said that Millwall don’t sing generic songs. What about the ‘having a party when Derby County dies’ song you sang last night. Are you claiming that as original material? You see when all this is done and dusted we will remember the support we got from Blackpool and Hull fans. We will also remember those who would be quite happy watching a  founder member of the league go out of business and watching the heartbeat of a community stop beating. In truth I didn’t expect it from Millwall fans but there it was. Tinpot I’m afraid.
Other than that, an excellent post and a really good read. A credit to your club. ?

Scott Malone is just a twit and was when he was here.  He seems just as highly regarded at other places he's been.  I seem to recall a fair few of your own supporters reminiscing that he was a **** *** and not that keen for him to come back when it was mooted. Derby stuck by Bennett through a number of personal issues - not just the infamous car journey- and gave him 3 contracts when he was absolute dog poo or terminally injured.  His behaviour since leaving here in regard to this has been, quite frankly, abhorrent.

Sometimes I look on and wonder why some footballers have a complete lack of self respect. Tonight was one of those nights. Their number 2 was an embarrassing cockwomble. Why couldn’t Lawrence have waited a match and stuck it on someone who deserved it. Malone would have also fit the bill. Made him a millionaire and he has no humility whatsoever. I don’t know who Millwall are playing on Saturday but I imagine they have started wasting time already. Celebrated like they had won the league. Ran towards their fans on the final whistle. Surprised they could find them. Tinpot club. Tinpot fans.

George Thorne was up there with my favourite ever Derby players, but I've honestly gone off him a bit after his (admittedly entertaining) Talk Derby to Me podcast appearances. I just thought he came across as a proper nob.

It's brilliant when you are in  a game when the ball simply won't go in, neither will it fall to a Derby player when it breaks loose or bounces in the penalty area, and we still win!
Yet another great performance, and apart from 10 minutes after Tom's red card when we went into shock and started playing too cautiously, we simply kept on going and going and going. It seems that Jason Knight's "Never Stop" attitude has rubbed off on the rest of the squad. I think Knighty was man of the match for me, because not only did he keep going non=stop till he was subbed, he affected the play really well. And he has built up a great understanding with Nathan Byrne, playing give-and-go into the corner 4 or 5 times in a row towards the end of the second half. Why Peterborough never picked up on it I don't know, and he got several crosses in as a result.
The ref didn't do too badly today, or perhaps it is better to describe him as not as bad as the usual rubbish we get. But he missed some glaringly obvious fouls. Coulson's two-footed lunge at Ebosele a few minutes before the sending off was a straight red. The ref saw it and waved play on, booking the guy a few minutes later. Festy did the right thing, going straight up the wing and skinned him, with there only being one result. Peterborough were so out of touch that time wasting and fouling became a major tactic, so well done Festy. And there is a delicious irony - the ref booked a Peterborough player for time wasting way before time added on at the end, which is almost unheard of, but even after an entire season of the refs letting opposition players time waste for almost the entire 90 minutes, Derby ended up with more bookings for tie wasting than Peterborough! He also missed the forearm smash on Tom Lawrence, and must have been trained by Mike Dean (ask Beilik!), but Tom was stupid for taking things into his own hands. His foul could have resulted in a really nasty injury. Unlike Crooks, Coulson will remember the incident for quite some time.
Once Tom went off Max Bird stepped up and took responsibility, driving the team forwards, and good old Louie Sibley. He made a big impact on the match, with a shot just wide within moments of him coming on, and was buzzing about all over the place. His willingness to run at the defence caused loads of problems, but I was sure his shot was going to drift wide, because it was that sort of match - as per my opening sentence, so to see the ball nestle into the inside netting was brilliant. And what a difference bringing him on into his best position. Who'd have thought that would work? !!!!! I can imagine, and hope, that he will get the next 3 games in the number 10 role. And apart from only being brought on with minutes to go and being played out of position almost every time, he hasn't really produced what he can do, apart from the few times he has actually been played in the middle. Rooney has actually said that he was holding Louie back from first team action in the same that he did with Max Bird last season. Well, let's see what he can do.
And Mr Cashin - wow, what a debut! He looked like he was the seasoned pro bringing years of experience to a young side. More so than Thompson, nothing fazed him. He just dealt with everything with aplomb and didn't put a foot wrong. not even a misplaced pass! We've got an absolute jewel there!
And the fans - apart from being shocked at Tom's red card for a few minutes, we were LOUD. I got home with cauliflower ears, like I'd been toa rock gig. And it was normal for the ground to be empty within 10 minutes of the final whistle. But not anymore. Walking outside the ground watching people wearing huge grins and singing their heads off is brilliant. It wasn't this good during Stevie Mac 1, and they were great times. I've been a Ram since the Brian Clough years, and this is the best time ever! THANK YOU, YOU RAMS!

    Is it?
It shouldn't be. But when was the last time you felt this togetherness? When did the lifelong pessimists last become blind optimists? When did the early leavers need to be asked to go home? When did we last stop bickering and all decide we're a big family?
This relegation battle beats the bloody promotion battles!!

It's the EFLs/Parrys mission for us to be relegated, There's not an incling of doubt about that, They will no doubt cross the Ts and dot the Is of any legal document concerning our new PB/Owner, Other than that they'll stick as many obstickles they can to stop us in our tracks of any hope we have of staying up...all imo.
They may not "have a dog in the fight, But we've had many a teeth taking a bite out of us, Unfortunatley we refuse to lay down and die, My hope is a win today and a loss for Reading...All at the EFL and Parry and co have a sleepless week.

I am getting some bizarre replies from Parry today. Can anyone fathom this:
‘If we’d changed the rule to say clubs don’t have to use straight line amortisation I could understand the confusion but nothing has changed.’
But there wasn’t a rule to say they had to! Surely something has changed - it’s a new rule!
