If Paul Warne had a shred of dignity, or respect for the club, he'd resign before the press interviews.

How about trying to give derby a bit of credit for a decent performance

A sign of quite how messed up the world is when the devastation in Acapulco barely made it into my newsfeed and I've only just read about what happened now, a week later.
Rising ocean temperatures led to what they believed to be an imminent tropical storm to rapidly intensify in wind speed at an unprecedented rate within a matter of hours, leaving no time to evacuate or take precaution. Suddenly they were just being hit by 165mph winds
I know that some will yet again dismiss it as "fear mongering" but this actually happened and the science points to it happening again and again as ocean temperatures increase

I was running late last night, no lunch and no dinner, and grabbed a nice burger van cheeseburger outside. Scoffed before I got through the turnstile. Still hungry, so as the teams were coming out I grabbed a £6.50(?) chicken burger. I won't describe it, but suffice to say it was the single most disgusting thing I've eaten in years. Astonished I haven't had the thrupnys today and I left over half of it. Should have learnt my lesson after my cast iron pukka pie crust a few weeks back. Nah. I'm sticking to the burger vans from now on, far superior cuisine!

4-0 win. Absolutely cannot moan. I mean I could pick fault here and there, but I won't.
    Well...

    ...go on then. 😉
How did Collo miss that header?
Why does Sonny have a heart-in-mouth back pass moment every game?
We were owed a performance. Why let it fizzle out with the subs?
But on balance...bloody well done Derby County. Thoroughly enjoyed my night out. Which is all I ask.

Well, I finally chucked my toys out after the Stevenage debacle and joined the Warne Out brigade, but I'll get behind the lads AND the manager again tomorrow night.
Results will tell the tale of how it pans out. If we'remid-table at Christmas I don't see how it's remotely tenable to carry on. If we look like going backwards from last season in league position it'll be the worst season in our history. No coming back from that, stability or no stability.

I’ll be there tomorrow cheering them on because once again I’ll go into it believing this is the match that turns things around.

I don’t hold much hope for it but I have to stick with it.

I don’t think this statement changes anything tbh. I think he’ll still be gone by Christmas if things don’t pick up.

Criticising the team and supporting them during the game aren't mutually exclusive.
I really believe we're awful at the moment, and when I go to Pride Park, I don't want to become an obstacle to the team peforming when their lack of fitness or talent is already a huge one. Supporting the team the team is the entertainment for me, and I'm not going to get any more entertainment by getting on their backs. The whole point of home advantage is to give the players something they can't get without us being there.
It's just the way in England that most fanbases respond to the team rather than the other way round, but the one time it was the team responding to the support from the fans was 2021/22. We nearly kept a team of sixth formers and pensioners in the Championship with a 21 point deduction with our support.

I think it's an active choice that every attending supporter makes on the day, whether to get behind the team and encourage them, or whether to look for something to complain and shout abuse about before we've even kicked a ball.
I have had my say about the football on here, but at games I keep supporting, keep clapping, keep hoping the next attack for us will produce a goal.
We have heard from the Club, like we asked, now we can choose to get behind the team for a few weeks and see whether it makes any difference.
If someone can't,  then I am guessing that Eaton Ram is saying it's better to stay away.
It's like people who say the atmosphere will be toxic now, as if that is a separate entity outside of their control. It isn't.  It's us.
I'm not bothered about those people sitting complaining from the comfort of their armchairs week after week, the players can't hear them.

I rate David Clowes' ownership abilities as impeccable. If they weren't this forum would no longer be a place for discussion but merely a garden of remembrance for DCFC Limited.
He made a much supported decision to run this club as a sustainable business with a four-year rebuilding plan for the academy and the first team. He decided that based on his previous record in this division, Paul Warne would be the man given the opportunity to return the club to the Championship. He did not hold a gun to Warne's head demanding that immediate promotion was essential to the plan. When we missed out on securing a play-off place in May, David Clowes didn't make a knee-jerk reaction but held firm in the continuation of the project and backed Warne's first opportunity to recruit players of his choice.
In the past three weeks the performances and results have been very disappointing. That can happen and often does even in successful promotion seasons. But the reaction of Paul Warne to the growing fan criticism is a critical concern in the direction the team is currently going. As he says, it's a new experience for him to face criticism from the fans but in his media interviews he simply appears to have no answers as to how to remedy the situation. He seems confused in his leadership and consequently both the players and fans are confused, leaving us rudderless on the field. Facing Northampton and then Crewe is now a much bigger issue than it should ever be for this club.
David Clowes is not just the owner but also an avid lifelong fan and for that he is probably just as confused, worried and disappointed at the moment as many of us. I would imagine that in his day job, there have been several occasions where he has had to revise projects mid-term in the interest of an optimal outcome, which may also have included parting company with employees sooner rather than later. He has kept his thoughts to himself the past month. However, with the current turmoil the time must be near to when he will reveal if he wishes to continue with project as it stands or revise it.

MaltRam got a reaction from norwichram in Are our players as good as most think ??I
Squad is OK. Most of our players are absolutely good enough to get promoted at this level, and most clubs would love to have a dozen or more of our squad.
Our problem is two-fold, in my opinion.
Firstly we didn't get the striker we all felt we needed in the summer. Never mind losing McGoldrick, Collins is an extremely limited if willing player and needed replacing. We were linked with half a dozen and ended up not getting one over the line.
Secondly, we needed a midfield enforcer. Someone to snarl and bite and drive us. George Williams, Darryl Powell, Lee Carsley, Robbie van der Laan...a leader. Failed to sign one.
Upshot is we can play some nice bits and bobs, but we don't take advantage with goals at the end of it, and teams can get through us to easily at the ther end.
An unholy mix. If we'd signed one or the other, we'd be top 6. Both and we'd be top 2.
Graeme Shinnie and Jordan Rhodes would have done it.

There's no way he can stay.
If I owned the club and there were no fans to consider, I'd give him another month to make the squad gel and decide at the end of November whether to sack him or give him until April. The season is still salvageable and it's normal for teams to struggle with such a high turnover.
The problem is he's lost the fans. Now failure is guaranteed. The atmosphere in the dressing room will be difficult enough, but as soon as things go a bit wrong on the pitch, the players will really struggle to cope with the toxic atmosphere in the ground. Under those circumstances, team cohesion dissappears, the players become overly cautious and their energy levels drop.
Warne could be saved by a good run, but the hostility of the fanbase will make that impossible. Players get paid a fortune because, to people like us, football is so much more than 22 men kicking a bag of wind around. We spend our cash because we care. Football needs emotional attachment, and it's a facet of that which makes Warne's position untenable.
It's best for everyone if he goes now.

I understand that when the football isn’t pretty, and the league position is dire, football fans will inevitably lash out. However, I am amazed that there are a good number on here tonight slating our owner. This is a staggering state of affairs even for our club, only some 15 months since he saved us.  Cool it down lads.

Fury will come in a stone overweight, prop him up for a few rounds and take him out at will if he feels like it.
It's like matching Real Madrid against Leicester Tigers at football. Insane.
