Completely disagree. If, by some miracle, we went up this year, we have most of a team out of contract and will be able to replace from a much better pool of players available to us.
You don’t refuse promotion over some notion you aren’t “ready”. You get up by any means necessary and stay there by the same methods. 

It's an odd decision. Having said that you could just as easily frame it as the owners appointing a guy who led Sheffield United to a 9th place finish.
I hope Wilder does well. Pissing pube head gibson's money up the wall and leaving the sanctimonious smoggy Bamfords in the relegation zone particularly endeared him to me.

I'm interested in the competition while we're in it,  but wouldn't give a toss for more than maybe 5 minutes at most if we got knocked out.

It's the mental side which they will often lack. Positioning and movement is a part of it, which is where the 'coached through a game' by a senior player alongside them comes into it. But, an overlooked part is their psychological sense of belonging in the first team picture, which can be a massive hurdle. It's this which allows some players to settle in the first team from a young age (such as Hughes, Huddlestone and Barnes), whereas others aren't ready until they're much older. Clubs buy crap players all the time and spend crazy wages.  For a few years they are well up like Southampton and then they're not. Leicester won the league with Huth, Mahrez, Kante and Vardy who cost a bag of sherbet.  Then they were millions in the crap.   Statistics make no difference and I certainly wouldn't need them too let me know Blackman, Butterfield and Anya were crap buys, just the eyes I'd seen them with. 

Back from the match and what's not to like! 3 points, 4 league wins on the spin, a goal in front of the away end, and Waggy starting the  bounce! Going to bed happy! 

Only Portsmouth and ourselves winning in the top 6 at this point. If it's stays like this... It'll be a good night.

It reminded me of when Roos was here and some of our 'fans' used to sarcastically cheer whenever he caught a cross. Truly weird behaviour and I've never understood it.

I literally forgot Barks was playing at one point.  Was completely anonymous for long periods.
NML hugs the touchline and makes things happen,  same with Wilson. Gives us much needed width.

That particular bit I think is a change this season, he seems to be showing more “leadership” in the team. He’s clearly leading by example with his football but also seems to be relishing being one of the senior players.
