On away tickets, my Sheffield Utd one arrived on the Wednesday before match day, (it was posted the day before), but my Preston one didn't arrive until the day before the game (Friday) having also been posted on the previous Tuesday.
So it would seem it is the Royal Mail who need to get their act together.

Can't imagine many of today's players manning a womens knickers stall on Ashbourne market in the off season, (yes he really did man the stall when not playing).
I think his brother-in-law used to be the regular bloke on the stall and if my memory serves me correctly ripped-him off big time?

Completely off topic, but reading that just shows me that the Germans and French have got better employment protection laws than everyone else in Europe. ?

However did we manage when we only had "coach tours", "haulage contractors" and the like?

Is there any wonder football is broken?
I've said it before, but as someone fast approaching their free bus-pass who was in the BBG when we were winning the league, the Championship suits me just fine. Every game winnable and I can get tickets for any game I want to attend. Selfish maybe, but the Premier League is a farce.

Might be wrong but I'm certain the small fella with Pearce and the admin guy is Magnier Junior. As an amateur he had his fair share of wins as a jockey and rode Rhinestone Cowboy in the early 00's.
Rooney's rode a few more I'd bet?
Whether they were "winners" or not is up for debate tho.

As someone from North West Derbyshire, who's Manchester printed daily papers were still full of Manure crap when we were winning two First Division titles, I'm chuffed to bits.

What happened with CKR hitting the woodwork? I was watching but the TV went blank for 10 seconds.
Dismt realise I'd missed something till the interviews after the game
Route one, great take down by CKR on the turn, but didn't catch it right and hit the bottom of the post.

Yes the EFL have already blamed Derby for it & will deduct us 9 points.
Assuming we are eight clear of relegation at the time otherwise more.

Well hopefully that is the last time we see Jozwiak anywhere near the starting 11, as soon as he went off we improved 100%.
Did Derby let the wrong player go when Dutch Mike went back home, (we're not exactly known for good business administration are we)?

Fair play to the lads today, I had no idea Coventry were so high up the table with a 100% home record. ?

Ok thanks for the answer . In short you say he can afford to pay from his own pocket and so he should. If you are right on that I would agree with you.
but others have said he has borrowed heavily and gambled with our future. If he has so much money why would he need to borrow?
the truth is right now we do not know. Which is why I am reserving judgement . I think the truth will be out there very soon.
I think you'll find a lot of wealthy businessmen are good at gambling with other people's money.
In our case, MM loaned the club money from his own and other sources, so at that point it's DCFC who take on the risk, ...... and here we are!
DCFC are broke, but MM owns a stadium and shiny training ground.

Lets not kid ourselves here, if there are any actions that need taking (particularly unpopular ones), our current leaders are Olympic champions at shutting the stable door when the nag has long since departed.

For the next crisis, is it too much to ask that we have people in charge like former CEOs of large companies? Or people who have led major organisations, either public or private? Our once enviable democracy doesn't really seem fit for purpose at the moment.
I propose the former CEO's of HBOS and Carillion.

Makes me think of the classic Dave Allen joke;

Gonna say it, whether it’s a popular opinion or not….
I ducking hate watching England, they are all such talented individuals, yet as a “team” they are so ducking boring, dull, turgid etc etc to watch. Even during the Euros I felt the same. Defo lost the love for the England team big yawn ? ?
I am done watching them, I personally find it an unenjoyable and uninspiring experience. The passion I once had for the national team has been squeezed out of me ??
It's called the "Southgate Syndrome".
Boring twit playing 5 at the back at home.
Anyone fancy a Matchday Meet Up? (Gauging interest)...
