When this happened, the firm was told an investigation would take place, and a resolution would take 10 working days.

20k was returned almost immediately, due to the transaction being blocked, but the rest would be subject to investigation.

No such investigation has taken place, as far as we can tell, not one witness statement obtained, no contact from anyone in authority, yet today the missing amount has landed back in the bank, without forewarning of any sort.

Not one email, call or contact of any sort to explain the situation.

Crime really does pay, if you're smart enough.

Are you saying that your bank has refunded 100% of the 'scammed' money with no explanation whatsoever?

Bolton away tickets on sale at 10 o’clock this morning to 10+ members.

So far only the bottom section of the stand is open with 2,237 tickets available.

I'd normally have got a ticket for Bolton within an hour or two of them going on sale (15+ membership), but what the train strikes and other 'issues', I haven't even looked yet. 😢

How do we improve the team if the core of the team is dysfunctional? What do we do when the central figures in the team are standing in the way of progression?

I think if we were an Italian side, there might be an "accident"!

  4. You need your insurance company to after the perpetrator.

In my experience, they don't fight your corner, and are quite happy for you to carry the can.

I got sideswiped by a Polish owned/driven HGV about 12 years ago on the M1 and I had fight tooth and nail to get my insurance company to go after the haulage firm (I had photographic evidence of the drivers licence and insurance certificates at the scene).

My insurance company were quite happy to pay me out on MY policy, (with me having to pay the excess and losing my NCB), but I told them to 'feck right off', and insisted they persue the lorry firm. Took ages, but got there eventually, with the result it was also logged as a 'no fault accident'.

The only damage to the lorry was a couple of scratched wheel nuts!

All I think is when I read this, you've probably spent more times sat watching windows updates as I have sat on the toilet in my life!

Nope, just let it do its thing when I'm done for the day and an update is pending.

I used an iPhone for a few months last year, (after smashing my Samsung). I had to buy a new Samsung before I turned into an axe wielding psychopath.

I've got a Toshiba T1200 from the late 80s that only ran DOS....

We used to use it for remote support back in the day. I rescued it from a skip at work when they finally moved into the 90s and provided us with a laptop - I found it in the loft a couple of years ago and it still boots up - should probably be in a museum....

I've still got my Compaq, not sure when I booted it last though. I used to use Lotus 123 (for Windows) for my spreadsheets back then.

9 years for a Windows laptop will get you in the Guinness book of records, drop them an email with your receipt! Congrats

I brought a new W10 ThinkPad in December 2017 and its still working perfectly (business use). Although I do sometimes have to delete some of the crap that gets installed during an update.

It replaced a Fujitsu Windows XP laptop that was new in 2006. The one before that I can't remember, but it ran Windows 98 and before that a second-hand Compaq 386 laptop running both DOS and Windows 3.1

I always buy the most expensive laptop I can when I replace them. I'm hoping the current one will see me out!
