I used to do the same £10 treble on both teams to score in matches involving Derby, Walsall and Wycombe. Don't ask me why those 3 teams apart from the obvious choice of Derby. Seemed to pay out more often than not although I didn't keep an exact track on it. Got out of the habit of betting since Covid kicked in. Pretty glad I'm not placing that bet this season considering how shot shy we've been. Will keep an eye on this thread though to see if I can revive my appetite for a punt.

@Hintons boots would be interesting to keep a track of your accas against my doubles each week at level stakes to see who does best.
£1 stake on this weeks bets using William Hill
    My return:- £5-90
    Your return:- £17-99

This Forum is packed with knowledgeable football fans ( mostly ). It’s time we cleaned up at the bookies, so some 6 fold Acca tips from members should enable us to compile a top Acca.
Remember only stake what you can afford to lose.
My suggestions below, apologies for backing ze snake.
    Exeter
    Reading
    Cambridge
    Millwall
    Norwich
    Liverpool
    Home wins 15.45/1 odds.

I find accas on the whole to be a complete waste of money.
I used to have a £25 fourfold every week and was probably getting one win a season ?
I now do a £50 double every week instead and find I win on a much more regular basis and have shown profit for 3 seasons running.
I only ever place a bet on teams @ evens or above.
    Today I have gone on Crystal Palace @ 15/8 and Millwall @ 21/20. £50 returns £295.
Did not know Rowett had Covid and so would be missing from todays match. Think if I had known I would have gone on Huddersfield at @ 19/10 rather than Millwall.

    Happy Friday one and all!
I should probably apologise in advance as I feel a little bit spammy, but I'm pretty excited to say that Pride (or Pride: The Inside Story of Derby County in the 21st Century to give it the full, far too long name) will be available from the club shop and online from this weekend!
    Link - https://www.dcfcmegastore.co.uk/item/2865/Books/Pride-Na.html
For those who don't know, Pride is a project I've been working on for around three years in total, and it's seen me work with just over 60 former players, managers, chairmen, coaches and #ITK fans to tell the tale of the club from the moment we moved into Pride Park until the beginning of this year. It's not really a game by game account, it's more of a focus on each season, the on-field and off-field dramas (even the crash), all told by those who lived it from the inside. So to put the 60 people into context, it varies from the likes of Stefano Eranio, Steve McClaren and Warren Barton through to Gary Rowett, Harry Wilson, Giles Barnes, Inigo Idiakez and Jake Buxton.
The club have been extremely supportive and it's been a huge surprise to have them come on board, considering the content paints a factual tale, but they've been a huge help and it's fantastic to have them on board.
For anyone who has pre-ordered already - and a massive thank you for your interest in what began as just a daft little project to pass the time - what I'm going to recommend to people is that they cancel their pre-orders with Amazon and the likes, because hopefully money won't have been taken. Then the book will be available for around a week or two at the club and the megastore, before hitting the wider world. Unfortunately this one was out of my hands so I'm expecting a few pelters ?
I'll try not to spam too much but if anyone has any questions or comments on the book, what it's about or why certain people didn't make the cut, just reply or drop me a message. And most of all, for anyone who is keen and interested in understanding almost every major development and in-story of the club over 20+ years, I really hope you enjoy it. I'm on Twitter at @PrideDCFC where I'll be rambling to myself and sharing a few articles I've done over the past few months.
You might see/hear me a bit over the media over the next few weeks, so I'm always here to throw abuse at! I had a chat with the @Steve Bloomer's Washing team as well for their latest episode: https://soundcloud.com/user-147200653/sbw-94-Derby-county-2000-2020

Good for Bradders, but I’d have scored a hat trick against Derby the way we defended that day.

There’s an alternate reality where we won the play off final and bought Watkins.
I want to live in that reality.

Question for the forum. Sliding doors moment really. If we had turned up for the play off final, won, got promoted, stayed up by our fingernails due to a VAR malfunction, would we now be 4-1 up against Liverpool ???????

Chinese Businessmen came for a tour around Derbyshire and visited Pride Park a while ago, but nothing ever came of that. If they watched the match last night i dont think we will ever see them again.

I remember Bob Wilson having to change his shorts as his original pair fell victim to the famous BBG pitch and were soaked and caked in mud,
The late Trevor Hockey a heavily bearded Sheffield United midfielder being snarled at werewolf style every time he touched the ball, Charlie George coming over to the Popside blowing us kisses after he scored for the Arsenal and just about everybody trying to gob on him. Not long after of course, we worshipped him haha.
Two Alan Hinton screamers in a 2 - 0 win over Everton, that night against Benfica...Ian Storey Moore signing for us on the pitch, live on ITV's On The Ball, a big deal in those days, if I had the time there would be loads more of course but I've got to get ready for work.
It's one of the good things about getting on in age, being at the Basie when the League Champions trophy was being paraded. Happy Days.
