hintonsboots got a reaction from Carl Sagan in Rate the Transfer Business
The current squad would definitely survive in the championship. Steady hand on the Tiller from the boy Clowes is exactly what we needed. Would prefer to see him jetting around a bit and teeing off at the Belfry a bit more though ?.

We’ve signed three keepers.
Six players, Collins, Smith, McGoldrick, Mendez-Laing, Hourihane and Chester, anyone of which would probably get into any other team in this league.
We’ve managed to keep Knight, Bird, Cashin, Sibley, Davies, Thompson, Stearman and Forsyth.
We’ve signed youngsters Oduroh, Rooney plus Dobbin, Osula and Roberts on loan and Tom Barkhuizen on a two year deal.
Considering that just a few weeks back we were on the verge of handing the club to Kirchner, had five players under contract and no pre season preparations the performances so far are to quote a well known ex manager of this famous football club “nothing short of remarkable”.
…………….it’s a 10 from me!

The transition back to a stable championship squad will not be easy and the young loanees may play a large part in that if some become permanent. We have some interesting prospects there
We were bound to be reliant on signing senior free agents, but we’ve managed to find a good balance between youth and experience imo

Excellent window when you factor in everything we’ve been through.
We've gone from 5 players, to having a very competitive squad.
Yes we’re a bit thin on numbers l, but we can only afford what we can afford.
Whats not to like?

Excellent recruitment over the last couple of months and puts the last 5 years of transfer dealings to shame.
Well set up now to add a few more in January for a big promotion push.

'Horribly'? Get a grip, man.
We were dead and buried a month ago, and have won 6 of our first 9 games.

Interesting new programme perhaps they could employ Collymore as a presenter

Chris Wilder quote
"These are two players who really shouldn't be anywhere near this league. The two players at the top of the pitch, Sarr and Joao Pedro, you can see why they are going for 25, 30, 35 million and why they should be playing in the Premier League"
Boro Chairman has approached the EFL with his concerns that Premier League players shouldn't be playing in the EFL and is consulting his lawyers.

Thoroughly enjoyed the game tonight. Very glad I went. Good strong team selected, played some good stuff at times.
Jake Rooney will play premier league. He’s wasted at CB he’s a DM, seen him 3 times now, he could be better than Bielik.
Kwaku is improving rapidly, poor against Mansfield and not ready, improved as game went on against the Baggies, continued where he left off tonight. Thought he was excellent.
Roberts was frustrating tonight. Dobbin is raw at times looks amazing, other times can’t control a ball. Tommo did ok and all the senior pros (I include Sibley in that) did well, what does Collins have to do.
Then I hear Scott Loach’s interview afterwards. What an amazing culture being built here started by Rooney and continued by Liam. Really starting to think this could be the start of something special.

Just wanted to put in a good word for James, he worked tirelessly tonight against Grimsby and you can tell the crowd are on his side trying to get him his first goal which is refreshing to see.
He runs and runs and runs, is getting in the right positions and really pushes defenders back and out of place. Hoping his goal comes this week or as soon as possible and he can then carry on firing.

Villa are a bottom half prem club since Kelle Roos gifted them promotion.
They don't deserve to stay up any more than Bournemouth do.

That was the one were Bull battered the s*** out of Short for an hour and got a hattrick. Like a rabbit in headlights . Tried the same trick against Stimac a year later splitting his eye in the first few minutes. Stimac came back on kicked him straight in the b******* earning the best yellow card ever . Only one winner that day.

If Collins gets one, it’ll get him going. The unfortunate fact is it’s going to have to come off his ass as there’s no way he’s scoring with his boot
