@Boycie Just received a reply from  the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, and the IFO is the body to contact. Although after the Twitter post from Chris Coles today, I am more hopeful that the EFL are taking a less aggressive approach to one of its member clubs and perhaps the club are also looking for a better relationship with its regulator.

Football clubs, such as Derby, form an integral part of their local communities and it is vital they are protected.
It is understandable that fans will be concerned for the future of their club. The English Football League referred the case to an Independent League Arbitration Panel which has now ruled. It is not for the government to intervene in this legal process. However, if you wish to take this matter further then you can contact the Independent Football Ombudsman (IFO) which was created in July 2008 by the football authorities, including the Premier League, with the agreement of the government. The IFO was established to receive and adjudicate on complaints which have failed to be resolved by football clubs or the football authorities, and can be contacted at: contact@theifo.co.uk

"Understand the new restrictions concerned Derby only permitted to bring loans in." I find this current restriction extremely unfair. Talks ongoing to allow freebies as well. Just 4 for now, the rest will have to wait until further restrictions are lifted.
HMRC embargo reason should be lifted soon-ish, which may ease some restriction(s), CC seems to suggest moving to a soft embargo (moving from 27 or 19 professional standard players to just 9 established players)
Talks are ongoing regarding the accounts. Possibly due to the extra £30m stadium money or the new amortisation policy.

Well done Chris Coles as others have said. There needed to be some clarity as the vacuum created just allowed negative speculation from media looking for angles to generate clicks, and doomsters to propagate doom.
We’ll see what assurances Mel gives in the meeting (if any) but positive he is willing to engage with the fans again.
We’re still in a bad position this close to the season starting but it’s positive that the club are working hard behind the scenes to resolve the issues with the EFL (which seems to be the main issue now). Looks like we’re going to pay HMRC and Mel continues to stand behind the club for the time being, as he should as club custodian but also as I expected him to do.
Im reassured, but this won’t be enough for some people.
