Think the sad fact is that they didn't accumulate wads of cash by investing in basketcase outfits. We're potentially a League 2 club without a ground and hardly any players and folks are seriously questioning why Chelsea are going to bought up by the end of this week but no one wants to buy us.

I can remember Chelsea getting gates of 10,000 or so and being one of the worst clubs in London. We were a much bigger club than them, and most others in the country for a number of years. At least I was there for the trophies and 35,000 average attendances. Being a sad old bar steward comes in handy sometimes.

Are you two seriously comparing Derby County and Chelseas attractiveness to investors? Chelsea have half a billion in revenue every year, a globally recognised brand, they win trophirs and have many valuable assets ( including several players worth more than our entire club).
On the other hand we dont own the stadium, we dont own the training ground,we'll have about 6 players worth close to nothing at the end of the season, a very regional brand and we're lucky if our yearly revenue breaches £30 mill (and it wont get close if we're relegated).
Why is it a surprise that chelseas sale process is faster?

Perhaps Poznan welded a metal 'ownership' stamp to the back of his left calf - 'this footballing asset belongs to Lech Posnan. No sale can be completed without our written approval'. It might explain why he seemed constantly off balance, or worse lying on the ground. Maybe that Birmingham lad loosened a few rivets?

The Athletic (Matt Slater) is reporting that we still owe Lech Poznan £2.5m for Jozwiak and that we haven't paid the most recent instalment that was due in February... What the actual duck is going on with this club? If we're selling players for less than what we actually owe on them and still not paying off our debts to other clubs then that just takes the biscuit.

This is why I cannot understand any sympathetic posts about Morris
I can forgive trying to get us promoted by giving managers funds that we don’t have to buy players but I CANNOT forgive not paying our taxes! Running up millions in debt to HMRC is scandalous and being a so called businessman this part of running a business is part and parcel of every single company and business in the land yet he run up millions of debt ….I’m so down it’s unreal and yes there are worse things going on in the world I get that …but I just don’t see anyone spending 30m without the stadium …Morris should not charge anything for PP after what he left behind!!!!???

I dont think buying a football club generally would be complicated but I think MM/SP's actions will have overcomplicated our position. Too many trying to get round things shenanigans

Keep seeing people mention that buying a football club is a complicated transaction, which is fair.
However, it isn't that complicated. I mean it's been pretty clear for a while what it will take and how deep their pockets will have to be. Right now, it's clear none of our potential bidders are happy with that cost.
It will take a significant amount of time even when the PB is announced. We're not going to have new ownership properly in place until the second half of 2022, if at all

To put that in perspective, Mowbray has been a manager 20 years, Rooney just over a year.
    Rooney is still learning.
Also, Mowbray has a settled squad whereas Rooney has had vital players effectively given away.
Nobody in here hears the team talks and truly knows what he's trying to do tactically, so a lot of talk about tactics is guessing.
Similarly, we don't know if teenagers are just not sticking to task rather than being given the wrong ones.
Tactics rarely overcome a lack of talent or  a massive shortage of experience.
It's the latter that is really hamstringing Rooney.
At the moment and imho, Rooney isn't part of the problem. I doubt Cloughie could have done a better job of galvanising the club.

As MM wasn't metioned that's a conclusion you can take young master.
On the other hand, It aint my fault, It aint your fault, It aint the fault of any other poster on here, Lets try the players who performed over the years, Well fingers can be pointed, Penalties missed, Silly goals conceded, Players being sent off, Players getting injured, Players being sold, But then that's part of football, It could be the opposition who have beaten us over the years, Let me see now, Yep quite a few have beaten us over the years, But then again that's part of football, Lets put a gun to the officials head, Lousy decisions, Penalties not awarded, Our players sent off when opposition players do worse but are seen to be genuine efforts to play the game, But then again that's part of football, How about opposition fans, Sing songs about the death and a party when we're done for, But then that's part of football, Managers picking the team, Wrong decisions made about tactics, But we're all critical when things don't go to how we like it, But that's part of football
Journalists, Percy, Maquire and Nixon, Maguire kicked it all off, The EFL wouldn't listen, Maguire still moaned until we were looked into, Percy and Nixon they believe they have a job to do, Not a very good one in my humble opinion but a job never the less, It could be the hated EFL, who eventually listened to Maguire, Parry, Birch et al looked into our affairs, It could be Gibson who with the help of the EFL held a gun to our head, It could be Couhig who jumped on the bandwagon, Yes certainly they helped push us along.
Who told what and when to supporters, Who had this message board monitered, Who offered a breakfast club and who fell for the sausages,  Who over spent, Who sold the ground, Who never paid HMRC, Who signed off cheques for 2nd rate players for transfers, Who paid stupid wages for said players, Who tried to sell DCFC to not 1 not 2 but 3 charletons.
    Is it too Simplistic?

Other than supporting on match days there's little to nothing else we can do, Supporters groups are treated as mushrooms, Fans are seen as cash cows, MPs release twitter feeds of no concequence.
The EFL haven't beaten us, They've certainly written our death throws, The nails in the Coffin were all lined up, Jagielka unable to re-sign, Shinnie moved on were 2 huge nails that were knocked into our Coffin.
I'm a realist with a little optimism thrown in, Until mathmatically impossible that we can't stay in the Championship then there's hope, I believe the EFL will have a party if we are relegated, It was their plan from the start, Parry, Birch et al have gone above and beyond in their efforts to put road blocks in our way, Once we were looking to make a fist of it things they seemed to have changed, Boro/Wycombe dragged on, Referees conspiracy I don't believe, EFL encouraging the Cheating Mantra imo has had the biggest effect on all in the Championship, We're the boogey man who lives under the bed, We're seen as a club that will get what they believe we deserve.
It rankles with me and has most of my adult life that oragisations will, Can and do have a very negative impact on peoples lives, Football for many 100s of 1000s of people is an escape from the humdrum of ordinary life...for what ever ordinary life is, There's no tub thumping from me, It's all been down to one person, That one person who gave Hope, Enjoyment, Excitement, Sadness and eventually Despair as this great club of ours is being lead away to the scaffold, Our only escape...24 points to be played for, Untill it's impossible to stay up...then there's hope.

Since i have had really bad health i haven't been able to get to matches but rather than watch on the Red button i'm still doing my bit by watching it on RamsTV. I have been a fan/supporter since the 70's home and away,so don't have a pop at me asking if i went last night and as for a moderator actually clapping that comment beggars belief.

So are you saying we should all be happy clappers, that everything is going to be alright, that we have bidders fighting amongst themselves who is going to buy the club and spend millions rebuilding the threadbare squad we have, ignoring the fact the bidders seem to want to buy the club as cheaply as they can. The reason for the negativity is because of the situation the club has been placed in or would you rather that those "so called supporters" with "negativity" remain quiet and assume everything is hunky-dory and there is nothing to worry about

With Plange moving on next season he is probably worried about picking up a serious injury,if that's in his mind set you can't blame him. Doesn't seem to work selling a player then keeping him on loan

This is a tough one to take, honestly this compounds the frustrations over many months that have been glossed over due to the spirit around the club.
I don’t see anyone interested in buying an expensive football club that is now, almost guaranteed, to be playing in League One next season. The administrators have obviously had to keep things going whilst bidders waited to see if we would stay up and recoup some of our value, however with next to no players contracted to the club next season. As well as the staff. I worry this could be it, at least for Derby County as we know it.
Part of me tries not to worry, I mean there is nothing I can do about the situation, but reality is dawning somewhat and it’s just rough to face head on.

We looked every single bit of a team made out of youngsters. Terrible game management and B'burn sure smelled the blood at the start of the second half.
It's just part of the learning curve. Shame that we are not looking capable of getting the new owner in, so these players will reap the benefits of the games like today with someone else.
