Marriott did well in his first season, especially when he had a run in the team in October/November.
Got us through the playoffs, scoring in the final even though he was on the losing side.
We destroyed him after that.

I think the biggest thing is the playing squad. Not enough numbers, not enough quality, not enough characters.
We didn't replace Keogh, Johnson, Huddlestone, Bryson, Nugent etc. We don't have enough championship experienced players or leaders. 
We let players like Malone, Marriott, Evans, Holmes, Jozefzoon go and didn't replace them. We no longer have options off the bench.
To put it simply we just don't have a good enough squad. That is the main reason as to why it's gone wrong.

On the field of play, I've liked what I've seen.
His first season was good, up until Christmas he was the striker and he was scoring at a good rate. Disappeared for a while, not sure why. Returned in the playoffs and we all know what happened there.
Cocu's football stifled him. I honestly just think he's a player who's had a lot of bad luck over the last couple of seasons.
Hopefully he can get his career back on track, I'd like that to be with us, but sadly I don't think it will be.

The lack of use of Sibley this year has been an absolute disgrace and another player who has gone backwards under this regime.

Cant wait for this one. Get to watch sibley, joz & roberts warm up on the touchline for 89 mins while we play 5 at the back and get to watch shinnie & knight do a lot of running. Another Rooney masterclass incoming

Agree 100! I remember Old Trafford and Elland Road...he showed his natural ability as a great striker.You don't get to perform like he did at those stadiums without pure instinctive ability.What went wrong behind the scenes I've no idea but I want him back in the summer.

Err Stretton has been out for the season injured, for a while now. Cresswell probably isn't good enough. We've plenty of Academy players struggling already.

Big George is going to protect us from attackers and 'ead a couple of fortunate goals in to keep us up and ensure prosperity going forward.

It's been said many times before that just because a team have nothing to play for they should be walkover. Quite the opposite on many occasions. 
If it does come down to us needing to beat Wednesday and with them having nothing to play for, we'll be anxious and nervous whilst they'll be able to play with free of any pressure.

Think it’s worth remembering the lad is only 22, moved to another country joining a team that’s struggled whilst bringing through a number of academy players.
Apply some context, not all players hit the ground running.
Maybe if we stick with him, let him settle in, not get on his back (when stadiums reopen) we’ll get to see the best of him?
