Looking at the build of Kirchner I'd say whoever is sent to serve him papers will probably have the upper hand in terms of speed, agility and stamina.

If Byrne didn't agree to the extension taking place then why did he sign it then.
By the fact that he did sign it meant he agreed to it unless your claiming duress?
What you're saying is really illogical.

I think I said a while ago that I would not have wanted him sacked because of the way he brought everyone together last year but last year’s task was so unique it provided basically zero insight into whether he would be able to get a side promoted so wouldn’t be upset with him walking.
Hold no bitterness towards him and am grateful for some amazing moments last season but fairly glad to have the Wayne Rooney circus and everything that it entails gone for a bit. Even more grateful that whatever he was cooking up with Kirchner didn’t happen.

@angieramand @Carnerosummed up the gist of what i was going to say. When Keogh was sacked, his appeal was heard by a football tribunal, not and Employment Tribunal. When Boro made their claim, the EFL said it had to be settled as a football debt, not through a Court of Law. Both Footballers and clubs might want to have things both ways, but either they're all football disputes, or they're all legal disputes.
I think it's also probably true that we're better off without carrying Byrne's wages and, given that we bought him for a small fee from Wigan, I'd have no issue if he left for a small fee, but there's a right way to go about it and neither he nor Buchanan have done that.

It's so easy to be drawn in by Liam Rosenior. He really seems to be bringing in the players that have the right values.
Feels like the right man at the right time. I only hope he's as good on the pitch as he is off it. I want him to succeed so very much, if only for the loyalty and passion he's shown for this club in its darkest hours, it would have been so very easy to join Wayne in saying 'I've had enough, time for fresh eyes'.
Lets get behind him. Ignore the pre-season games. Don't turn on him if we lose the first couple. If there's signs of a plan, an idea, then lets run with it. Don't let this good feeling go to waste.
Liam Rosenior's black and white army. Up the Rams.
    Peace, love and Derby County.

No legal duty obviously, but he was the club captain for crying out loud. These sort of things aren’t in some petty rule book , flow chart or job specifications to be ruled on by HR.  They are moral, sporting ethics and imperatives that define decent honourable behaviour. If you don’t get that then I really am sad for you. Lawrence messed up and was punished. Keogh had a greater duty and failed miserably along with getting crocked at the same time

You know what .. being club Captain HAS to mean something and it isn’t an arm band and your picture on a poster. If you understand sportsmanship, then something like pulling on an England shirt isn’t about a big payday or your ego (yes it happens, that’s nice and makes the world go round) it’s really about the huge huge privilege of representing your country at the highest level and becoming part of a greater pantheon. Yeah yeah old fashioned stuff an nonsense, it’s work, it’s a business I it’s money etc etc  but I am going to hang on to my ethic and belief for all my days. Code, honour, oaths, duties they count in my world and those that uphold them are to be cherished.

There seems to be a personal issue between him and Page and I get the impression that unless Lawrence shows some unbelievable form which can't be ignored (unlikely), he won't get back into the Wales squad.

I would agree the structure needs to be reformed - parachute payments in particular, but the real problem is the gap being so vast.
Ultimately, what football really needs is a huge crash and more rational valuation of what it is, what players are paid, what people pay to watch it (and so on) - it's seemed to be some sort of bubble but one that hasn't burst but now has sovereign wealth funds of oil nations funding it.

Jason Pearcey seems to have played a big part in Wildsmith signing from what he said in his interview. Wildsmith said they’ve known each other since he was 15 as Pearcey tried to sign him as a scholar and has stayed in touch with him since. Guess Pearcey has talked him up as an option to the club and sold the club to Wildsmith, as the GK coach he must see something he can work with.

Rosenior is, He's been installed as Interim manager while the sale was going through, I'll be astounded if he's not given the job, Once the dust has settled and all his players are signed, Rosenior will sit down with whoever is in charge...Clowes or Dickenson or A N Other, A plan from both sides will be talked out, A little bit of give and take from both sides, Some umming and arring and we'll all move forward.
All in my opinion of course and no phone calls received ?

What a lovely, lovely thread this is tonight. After everything we've had to put up with. Brings a tear to the eye and makes you think there is some loyalty in football and players like Cashin and Thommo genuinely love this club. Hopefully the brand new signings (Barkhuizen and Wildsmith etc) will come to feel the same.

Hi, not sure about the lagalities of this, but is there anyway someone can set up a just giving page for Dave Clowes, to say thank you and show our support! If every adult fan put in just £10 it must add up to about half a million towards the running of the club!! Not sure how it would stand with the EFL for them to take the money and use it, but if they couldn't use it directly, maybe it could be used to buy a sponsorship deal with the club for a local children's charity, it would just be a way to say thank you for saving the club!!

Very rarely comment but couldn't resist after reading some of the moving posts by others on here. Have spent all morning greedily devouring every post since the announcement yesterday, I just can't get enough.
It's been an absolutely torrid couple of years, but the way this darkness has galvanised everybody who cares about the club has been incredible to behold. It's brought together the city in an age where the country is divided, it's shown the pride that exists and how important it is to the identity of the people of Derby. The march before the Birmingham game is something I'll never forget and will always be proud to have been a part of. The Bielek bicycle kick made me lose my mind in delirious happiness and joy in a way that no bottom of the table, 2nd division, mid season game has a right to do.
Extremely early days but I can't believe how lucky we seem to have gotten with David Clowes. No fuss, no drama, just got on with buying the stadium before anybody knew they were even involved. Keen to shun the limelight, a breath of fresh air after the previous owner.
High hopes for the future. Long live Derby County Football Club. Up the Rams.
