  1. In a parallel, (but near identical) universe, McGoldOne decided to stay and we have another 9 points and this thread does not exist…

Never the less, the manager should be able to find a way to do better with what he has for sure.

  2. Not that I’m telling people what to do/think, but surely you do need to consider the basis as to why the different manager being proposed will get something better out of the same players.

I mean. Let’s pick Rowett for example. Many disliked his football and he had some pretty decent players compared to now. What is swapping to him going to result in different outcomes. Just “not being PW” is not a basis for such a choice.

This thread is not meant to be a negative one. It deals in statistics and is in reply to the constant negative posters who are asking for the managers head.

It is based on fact. You take that as negative as let's face it, one look at the Derby squad and there is cause to be negative.

Is it balls based on facts..

We're in League 1. So many recent managers haven't been chosen to get us out of League 1. Spinning the bottle might not get us better but I don't think it could get us worse unless Jewell or Docherty is chosen.

Expensive for the club to keep punting for anyone but the last guy. (And crossing fingers.)

If we had a good striker we would be in top 6 and then the debates would be a bit different…

We couldn't score in a brothel. We had how many shots on target at home, against an ordinary side?

There have been so many recent past managers for whom this could be true though… It’s almost a pandemic of DCFC managers of the last 10 y.

Just spinning the bottle for another one seems so unlikely to result in a different outcome…

Out of interest, which area of the ground do you sit in and how often do you go?

About 15 games last season and 3 so far this year. Like to move around the ground a bit, but East Stand mainly this year.

Find paying as I go more convenient with work and social life these days. Find I enjoy the match experience more this way too.

(Sitting in ES today, looking forward to it COYR)

It might have something to do with Derby County supporters being …….. supporters?

Or… lots of people are enjoying their days out and the football experience is good…  Surely the vast majority are not there thinking, “This is horrible, I hate it, but at least I’m being a loyal supporter”.  I think you are most likely wrong IMO.

(I enjoyed last season with PW.. Unfortunately we lost the gold one, but that’s football)
