Have we turned a corner when it’s the video editor getting a kicking instead of the manager…?!

I don't understand on highlights why they have to put up nine minutes of content but it's just three minutes repeated over and over. Why do you need to see a goal, or even attempt, three or four time on highlights? Just cut it to three minutes, show the highlights.

I really wanted it to work out with Cocu. Obviously, I want it to work out with every Derby manager but I really thought we were onto something with Cocu, it just felt like we had got ourselves someone a bit special. So sad when that didn't happen, and equally sad to see that Vitesse, who he is now managing, have only achieved the 30% win rate that he got at Derby.
If ifs and buts were apples and nuts eh!

I have a friend who is a very close friend of Eustace, I can say with certainty he would come if offered. Likes the club and would like to be part of the rebuild. Of course, that's not to say he's even been spoken to about it but after today I have to say I've joined the Warne out brigade. For a club of our size and with our resources that was really poor.

We should be entitled to do better than this. We are getting outplayed by teams that get 20% of the gate we do. Just by simple maths we should, on average, do better than them.

I have a chap works for me and lives not far from you - I was very excited to see his COYR sticker on his laptop, only to realise he was referring to Aberdeen. We live in hope!

Yes, which is why I said 'necessary expense'. I have no problem with people spending money on things of value, such as a nice car. But anyone who thinks they get value (and yes, I do realise many have made a small fortune selling private number plates - fools and their money and all that) from getting a private number plate is, well, I don't think I need to spell it out again.
However, just to prove every rule has an exception

And he (while I am not one to gender stereotype, this does look a very bloke thing to do) also missed out the P, then the R and the I plus the C and the K.
This is not wealth envy, but with all that is going on in the world if anyone thinks private number plates are a necessary expense then they should receive a six point fine just for that.

We will risk straying into politics which is verboten on this forum. There has recently been a high profile  investigation into anti semitism in the Uk, that is all that I will say.

My son came back from Uni and drove for the first time in three months - Johnny Knoxville and Steve-O would have asked for him to pull over so they could take a bus instead.

Thx - good feedback. I have actually found that it doesn't move if I put my wife on/off but some other drivers it did.
Re: rentals I mean I decline the incremental options they always offer (no claims protection / excess cover etc) and I've been doing it for so long now that I am not sure I would be worse off even if I did scrape a kerb etc.
Interesting point @RoyMac5 - I haven't actually thought that quotes might actually go up if I reduce my mileage too much. I guess there is some logic in that very low mileage drivers would be a little more likely to crash.

I think you’ll find, for some bizarre reason, removing additional named drivers will often increase the premium. I tried it for my car (removed my wife who also has her own car) and the quote went up. Same for my mother in law. Took her husband off (who now has dementia and therefore can’t drive anyway) and the quote went up.
With regard to renting a car, surely you don’t mean you decline any sort of insurance or are you covered by your normal insurance? Minor scrapes are fine (if that even exists especially when it comes to rental cars) but what if you had a more serious accident? When renting a car abroad it’s also worth taking out excess cover insurance before you go (not with the rental company obviously). It only costs a few pounds but could save you big time. I friend of mine hit the curb quite badly when driving from the airport to the Villa they were staying at (probably because of driving on the “wrong” side of the road). The excess was a lot (as I think it often is with holiday rentals) but, fortunately for them they had excess cover.
