I mean yeah. If we could have, which I don’t think we could financially, would’ve sacked him after the covid season. He was shocking.

Don’t get the excitement about this appointment - he’s a lower league manager whose teams play a less refined version of Rowettball and whose tactical ‘nous’ is found out at Championship level every time. Poor from DC this, especially the 4 year contract.

I think this a question mark right now. By most accounts he seems a good man manager but on the flip side its hard to say how much disruption this will cause in the dressing room.
A lot of these players signed for Rosenior and they signed with a certain way of playing in mind. The pressure will also be ratcheted up, so it's not an easy job for him to walk into from a player management perspective.

Optimistic pessimism. We still have a group of players that are relatively new to each other. Due to circumstances we found ourselves behind on our preseason prep so have been playing catch up ever since.
All that we've worked on so far appears as though it may be ripped up and started all over. However if PW(not yet confirmed) is the new man and, as mooted, is a great motivator and fitness fanatic then I remain optimistic he can pick up the baton very quickly. This won't be easy so a tad of pessimism still remains.

In the summer I wanted to sign a top striker, however, that wasn't possible given how late we came to a position where we could start signing free agents and also because we are blocked from making actual transfers for what 2 years?
For me a top striker in League one, is someone capable of scoring at least 18 goals in the season.

I largely agree with you, however, last lesson he promoted rotherham from league one. He has recent success in getting a team promoted, Rotherham had a strong team last season.
Warnes bouncing around between leagues hasn't been that great.
Is he worth the very high salary I'm assuming derby will pay him, something close to rooney salary to get him to manage derby?
I think lr has been treated unfairly, but it's not my millions that bailed out derby from near bankruptcy.

Sorry but WTAF! is wrong with our club and the people who run it/own it?
    Rotherham's manager!! Rotherham!!!
Liam Rosenior has spent the summer assembling a very decent squad in L1 or indeed the Championship.
And we sit essentially in the play-offs, and with not even 10 games played he's moved aside(unless he doesn't want the gig?)
Utterly ridiculous. I could maybe... just maybe...? understand if Arsene Wenger or some other managerial legend was making a come back?
But a guy who bounces his team between L1 and the Championship. Madness!!
However I suppose that after 50+ years supporting this great club I shouldn't expect anything different!

Honestly I am sorry it's not worked out for LR. I was never ever convinced and I've said it before we have barely played well this year consistently.
Clowes has been watching the same games as us. Just like us he wants us to go up fairly quickly. Rosenior has not got the job. He can either give it to him or if he feels like a manager with a proven track record is available and may not be for longer then he has every right to go for it.
He may have looked at the timing. We now have a week and a half on the training ground, how long will Warne be available? 3 out the next 4 games are away.
Considering we've got worse away from home and haven't scored a goal yet. Clowes is possibly worried by the end of those 3 away games we could be quite a way off.

If theres a two year transfer embargo, how then is the current squad strong enough to stay in the Championship next season, if the clubs promoted.
I think for that the club has to seek more than just free agents, but can't because its not allowed to pay for transfers.
The team didn't exist half way through the summer and now is expected to out perform, ipswich and Sheffield Wednesday?
Sheffield wednesday and Ipswich had established teams before they strengthened in the summer. They have transfer budgets.
They have both previously been in the Premier league and championship.
Warnes doing well in the Championship, given that he's managing Rotherham.

Both would be on the bench as attacking options to bring on, or rotated in with fitness/suspension issues.
Sibley has looked better coming on as an impact player.
McGoldrick is 35 in November, not a player we can be building the team around and rely on playing Saturday, Tuesday, Saturday

Great managers can alter their tactics based on the opponent's style of play, how the match is going, and what the team needs to do to score or preserve a lead.
A weak tactician will run out of ideas, have his team play one-dimensional football, and appear like a headless chicken on the touchline shrieking directions.
A bad manager will blame his players rather than accepting the fault lies with him.
At this moment Rosenoir is not a great manager, do we have the time to wait for him to be?

To break it down simply, we're the only team in the EFL not to score an away goal and to be fair other than Charlton we've played some right pony. It's not about expecting us to steam roller teams because we're Derby County its expecting to beat  the very poor teams in this division because our squad on paper is far superior.
I'd argue that we got lucky against Peterborough and had to rely on Cashin turning in to Maldini to hang on against Barnsley. I'm really struggling to see any positives. Yes its only 8 matches in but if we were sat on 11 points after convincing wins against Shrewsbury and Lincoln after giving them a good hiding i'd see the light.
    Lets see what Saturday brings.
