Duracell got a reaction from MickD in Matchday Thread - Fleetwood Town v Derby County (20/08 15:00)
This 0-0 wouldn’t be 0-0 if we score a goal, which I think we need to do before full time if we want to win this.

Duracell reacted to LazloW in Liam Rosenior
Lost one game. People have been questioning LR (and some querying whether he should be made permanent manager). Do you not agree that 4 league games, with a brand new squad, which still has gaps in it (understandably) is a little early to be fretting about where we will end up this season.
I understand the urge to comment on the game and individuals, but to do so without consideration of context, or rationality, is ‘problematic’ and threatens to derail the mostly positive atmosphere (at least in terms of getting behind the team and management) that has been around the club for the last year or so.
Negativity and criticism are fine when warranted, but I think some fans need to change where their bar for criticism and negativity kicks in. After last night, it seems pretty low (unreasonably so).
I’ve not read your comments about the game last night, so not aiming this particularly at you, but while talking about football is better than talking about administration, it doesn’t mean people should just be able to talk out of their……

That was partially due to the offside rule as well, where the forward had to be behind (not in line with) the third player, not the second. Because the rule favoured the defending team so heavily, it made sense to just pile attackers forward.

Duracell reacted to roboto in Eiran Cashin
So we’ve just witnessed young Eiran age 21 months in a matter of hours. I reckon he can easily surpass 6 foot in the next 20-30 mins.

Really frustrating time to concede. The introduction of Smith and the patience with the ball with the back 5 finally wrestled some control in this half, and gave us a platform to build from where we missed a gilt-edged chance to completely kill the game. Wouldn’t say the goal was against the run of play, but the tide was turning.

Stick to the plan. Keep the ball. We’ll be fine.

Goes with the territory of playing that well. Even elite sides concede a few goals a season making a mistake playing out from the back. But there’s a reason they carry on doing it.

Sadly, in the third tier, I worry that this standard of officiating is the depth.

Barnsley acting like Year 11s stealing a Year 7s ball at playtime there. While 2-0 down.

That drinks break couldn’t have been timed better from our point of view. Completely killed Barnsley’s mini purple patch.

I don’t enjoy piling on the pressure like this. The owner has said very little, but in one of his few public interviews he said he wants three things for Derby: “stability, integrity and progress.”
If we start marking comparisons with the 1980s or mid 90s, then there’s a danger that this becomes our measure of success. This, despite the owner saying it’s not.
We need stability and to steady the ship. I think a better comparison is with our time under GSE.

Surprised Rolls Royce haven’t done it before. There must be a huge untapped market of football fans unsure of where to buy their jet engines from who would surely be swayed by seeing the logo on the shirts of a third tier club on ITV4. Especially seeing as Rolls Royce is a brand virtually nobody has heard of before.
