They seemed to take every player we had on trial and give them a contract, except the best one.  Shame he didn't get to stay.  If he had we'd still be in the championship. 4.5 k a week is a tremendous wage in everyday life but nowt for the championship nowadays.  I still suspect we sold Shinnie to facilitate Jagielkas wage till the end of the season and then got shafted at the last minute, losing two players and retaining none.

He's got 12 months at Blackburn or somewhere first to fail miserably.  Next summer maybe.

That would be my preference to be honest. Unpopular opinion - Knight is Jack of all trades, master of none.

Cost them a few as well.  I'm not sure I've seen a more out of shape player put on a Derby shirt than Rooney in 20/21 and there've been a few whoppers.

Are we not signing Jutkiewicz yet .  We've been signing  him every June since 1902 so we're late.  He's 35 now so times pushing.
