From the club in question. Not other clubs. I'll be honest mate your a bit late to the party on this one.  I've spent 24 hrs going back and forth with this one.  I'm calling quits on going round in a circle. 

Did some training then whilst we waited 3 weeks for a mind blowing 60k after deductions.  I think Warnes a buffoon at public speaking and this jobs too big for him but that doesn't mine I don't like him or dislike him.  I don't know him .  I have also had a number of years in large financial negotiation, often trying to get blood from a stone to get things finalised.  I talk from experience.

I cannot see why a club would hold for 3 weeks for an additional 100-150k taking into account wages, cost in negotiation , potential injury,  a loss of a transfer target they may need cash in for.   Then come out 50-75 k better off.  Therefore, I think it entirely plausible that this tiny upgrade in offer with a minimal add on came about following our managers interview as a take it or leave it end game knowing they were in the drivers seat.

Part of a 2 million deal does not mean in addition to a 2 million deal.  Why are we taking a player they don't want as part of a deal which is half it's true value anyway.  This does not scream bringing in player who can perform at a higher level to me. Ridiculous.

£2m plus this full back, happy with that - Knight is a player who had a decent season in League One but nothing special, that's a LOT of money for someone like him. 

Very cheap price in my opinion for a young highly versatile experienced international, we will never be able to sign one like him for a long time I suspect - hopefully we can get promotion this coming season - the administration has cost us so many players 
I really think he could be doing a lot better than Bristol city and that’s not trying to be disrespectful to them and I fully expect him sold within two years for £10 million plus. 

I'm sure it's been a thorough vetting process.  All those ones we looked at but have gone elsewhere are someone else's problem now.

Shocking fee for me if it's 2 million.  This will collapse at the last minute though.  They'll be up in arms about sending money our way when we didn't pay HMRC in full.  We could spend it on another player.  Must be Armageddon down there with placards and everything.

I can't see they'll get much more at the minute with a year left.  Centre half is the least valuable position unless the talent level is visibly superb.  3-3.5 million and a 20% sell on. I think they'll take it.

I'm now going to have to spend my Saturday working out if there's a clue or possible anagram in this.
