Looking on up to our spirt in the sky...
May our flanges flutter gently amongst the sighs from above.
May our ballions float heavenwards, and our day end in tears of joy.

Today, we stand together.  Hand in hand.  There will be no absentees.  There will be no dear departed.
He's with us... and we're with him.

Looked at pictures of our beloved Baseball ground showing another sellout crowd. So many fantastic memories, so many brilliant matches,so many friends made. Today is the day that Pride Park can become the BBG by trying to duplicate THAT atmosphere. I really hope for all Rams fans, past and present, including the much loved B4, we do it in an absolute cauldron of noise. DTID.

So much angst, I am just enjoying the feeling that this is our Club, competing.
Missing Daniel and others who haven't made the journey with us.
    Enjoy your day! 🐏⚽️

Apparently the VAR official is called Bill, and he is elderly, so there is an obvious conflict of interest. Rioters are considering their options.

I was at Belper Cinema tonight and the lady working there mentioned she used to work at Derbion Cinema.
I said you must know Daniel then. She smiled for half a second, remembered he had passed, then shed a tear. Within seconds she was smiling again but still with moist eyes.
She told us how positive, optimistic and lovely he was and how great he was at his job. He was her favourite workmate.
At this point I may have had some grit in my eye.
I think Daniel has made us all tearful as we smile at his memory and I dare say many of us will look to the sky at 2.30 tomorrow, with that same bit of grit in our eye.
I've never been so confident before a match in my life, as the very briefest thought of us not doing this for B4, hasn't once crossed my mind.

The club are not asking... they are telling... don't do it.
The law says... don't do it.
"The best way to gain promotion is by the Play-Offs" is oft-written... do they invade the pitch at Wembley?
Hysterically approaching a player who has yet to make himself safe by dashing down the tunnel, just to "Plant a big fat kiss" could (understandably) be misconstrued as a potential attack/assault.  Remember, there will be confusion, concern, and uncertainty from some quarters.
All it takes... literally... is one jubilant fan being tripped/nudged/held back by a viz'd up official whose sole job/instruction is to attempt to fend off a pitch invasion for the mood to change.  Just one defensive/evasive swing of the arm can be caught on the numerous cameras, and have you stood in the dock before you can say "I wish I'd listened to Uncle Mucker"!

With 'only' 9 years on the forum I'm a relative newbie...
However it has struck me this would be my first promotion as a DCFCfan member. Nigh on a decade of posting with jack-all to celebrate is quite impressive.
Hopefully the whole forum can be buzzing tomorrow as we all experience an actual proper 'thing' tomorrow for the first time!!!!

Hate this idea, it gives a team in the Premier League who has been able to enjoy the fruits of £150m plus revenues to snatch the same chance away from a championship club who are probably turning over £20-25m (if not already subsidised by parachute payments).
Last season it would’ve matched Luton with their £18m turnover and £24m wage bill (a lot of which would’ve been promotion bonus payouts) against Leicester with their £177m turnover and their £171m wage bill.
It’s bad enough with 5 parachute payment clubs in the top 6 this season. It’s already becoming an ever-increasingly difficult proposition for non-parachute payment clubs to compete - this makes it much more difficult.

B4 not made the shortlist for fan of the year, I would imagine they have stipulated the winner must be available to collect the award but just a guess. Feel like the club have got this wrong but with his own thread he is 100% a dcfcfans legend!

Let’s hope they do, Derbys defence isn’t the best and they could easily slip up doing that. Come on you Carlisle. 🥳

We only have the keeper with the joint most clean sheets and the fewest goals conceded in the league. 18 goals conceded at home all season.
I'd actually go so far as to say we DO have the best defence.

I was there for the last auto season. I was 11 I think and gripped by football fever. That win to seal it against Palace was a truly great moment and one to savour.
If we get over the line on Saturday (and let's hope we do because frankly I don't think any of us could take the epic meltdown from all corners) then I shall be sinking a few beers (one at least for our dearly departed talisman of positivity) and savouring it because these moments don't come around too often.
Come on Rams, bring it home!

I have been taking my son to the match since he was 5. His first match was 2018. In the six seasons he's been watching Derby, he's gone to Wembley to watch Derby in a play-off final - one goal away from the Premier League. He's seen Derby play (on Rams TV) in an empty stadium during a pandemic. He's seen Derby escape relegation on the last game of the season in a 3-3 draw with a dramatic twist in the last 5 minutes. He's seen Derby go into administration, docked 21 points and be (as it turned out) 7 days away from not existing at all. He's seen Derby relegated to the 3rd tier. He's seen Derby, two weeks before the start of the season, with 5 registered players. He's seen Derby miss out on the play-offs on the last game of the season with some dodgy refereeing. He's now seeing Derby 1 draw away from promotion.
    It's never dull at Derby.
