No one has made him a scapegoat, there were at least 2 worse than him yesterday, but if we can't constructively dicuss players form and team selection, what is the point of being on a football forum. 

Liam has seemed to lost a little bit of the bravery he certainly showed in his first few games. But dips in form are natural and also I do think in the context of the game he was very often being closed down by Birmingham players clearly trying to use their physical size. 
 
Hes clearly got so much talent and him and bielik and bird all playing a 3 could be a really creative force in the run in. Hopefully he regains a little bit of that bravery but the team itself has not played well in 3 of the last 4 games for me and has still picked up a number of points which is promising.

I think Thompson has been playing slightly worse each game for the last half dozen games. Not really badly but a little bit worse each time. The last 2 games show he needs a break,  If Shinnie was still here I think he would have started the last two.  Now we will have to wait till Bielik is ready to start a game.
He has become too negative on the ball. Just passing sideways and backwards taking us into possession cul de sacs. When Bielik can start, Boro? he will be able to come off the bench for him and may some confidence from having more space.  

Thompson is very much 3rd choice at the minute, for me his role would be sub, cover and Alamo games.
