Well lots of fans don't want John Terry because of antics that are ancient history. Wayne is getting caught out again and again and this time almost whilst he is away on work business. 
I'm not overly interested in the morality, it's just the attitude he has to being a professional. Surely, at the end of the game they talked about being professional about warm-downs, about thinking about the game and things to improve... And as a manager I would expect his part in that would be him working with the other coaches, looking at the videos /reviewing the game, contacting people to enquire about players, reviewing the tactics etc.. All you ever hear about is that it's a 24-7 job being a manager. 
Apologies if I'm wrong, but the perception I'm left with is he dismissed the players, grumbled to the press, said 'off to bed' to the other coaches.. and then 'got on it' with some mates, presumably explaining away that he wouldn't be home as he would be working late into the night. No one says he can't go for a meal, a few beers to relax but if he hasn't learned yet that if he doesn't and instead ends up in slightly compromised situations its going to be news, then when will he? 
If he was my mate, I would probably laugh and say he was an idiot.. but he's not, he's the highly paid figurehead of the club I have supported for 40 years and he did a pretty poor job on the pitch, has done a terrible job from the sidelines and now is getting us press for the wrong reasons, it's just portrays a really disappointing attitude for me. 
 

Married female on forum view - bye bye Wayne! You dont innocently end up in a £60 (no idea if true or more garbage) hotel room at his age, married with kids and with his access to money. If it was in Manchester, he only lives just outside so presumably could have paid any price quoted to get a car home. Or for another hotel room. If this was Gazza would people be making the same excuses? Or here he goes again, how sad type comments? Presumably he has a management team to spin this and try and make it seem better and this is the best they could do? 

We have zero idea of Curtis Davies’ tactical nouse or managerial competence.

The man is entirely trading on the back of his name now, if he wasn’t before. Utterly shambolic.
- Looked lazy and unfit as a player.
- Undermined the previous manager.
- Recorded an exceptionally poor run of results as a manager.
- Instills absolutely no playing style as manager, benching / playing our best youngsters out of position, ultimately regressing their progress and value.
- A poor communicator, both with the players, fans and media.
- Repeatedly drags the club’s name through the mud.
At what point does it become worth shelling out to sack him? Purely from a footballing perspective, we’re crying out for an experienced manager. Rooney has done far more harm than good. If replacing him keeps us up is it really too expensive?

So if he can't sign anyone, why is he picking trialists in preseason friendlies and using up valuable match time with players he can't pick for proper games?

if we are relying on Stretton and CKR to get us enough goals I cannot see us being anything other than relegation material …put a couple of dangerous goalscorers in there and we’d start to look a lot better 
my worry is I don’t see any change in our play since Rooney took over and if it wasn’t Wayne Rooney he’d have been out by now and before anyone mentions we can’t afford to sack him we did with Cocu albeit he hasn’t been fully paid off which is credit to him 
I think Wayne’s captaincy speech shocked me how un inspiring he comes across when speaking I’m not sure he’s right for us especially at this time …we need someone who knows this division so Alex Neill would be my choice ( begrudgingly ) I dont particurlarly like him but if you think about it he knows how to get out of this division and how to operate on a budget this isn’t Wayne’s job I’m afraid

In respect of Baldocks miss (and the others in the game)..this has been a theme throughout Wayne's time in charge and we have to lay some blame at his feet...he's the head coach after all and in charge of instilling the mindset into the lads so they feel confident and happy to take that chance as and when it presents itself and without fear.
To say the manager doesn't influence these things,just look at the difference and massive increase in goals when Mac took over from the cautious Clough?...we were all of a sudden scoring goals for fun because of what changed in their coaching and management.
And that wasn't a team full of stars and known names,the majority were cheap or loan players from essentially nowhere brilliantly recruited by Clough,but Mac was able to mould them into a cohesive squad of confident players whose sum was greater than its parts.
We need to stop making excuses for the coaching team,it's gone on for too long..
 
 

Maybe because he sits so deep. It would still be classed as progressive even if the passes didnt go pass the centre circle? No idea myself but he is quoted as being a deep lying midfielder, I dont think thats what we need at all, already have so many of them its depressing.

Sibley is so evidentally miles better than anyone else on our team. If Rooney isn't going to play him every single second he's fit then sell him for me. Deserves loads better than this circus.

TBH when Longson sacked Clough that was the worst ever.

Something about Cannock Chase being excellent for dog walkers or along those lines anyway......

My pet hate resurfaces. Sibbo (currently playing on the right) nicks the ball and wins a freekick 10 yards inside the opposition half. It's a decent attacking opportunity with 5 minutes to go. Instead of attacking, the freekick is passed backwards 30 yards and we end up losing the ball. It makes you want to bang your head against a wall.

Aaaahhhh...the 43 year old Phil Jagielka hobbles his way to glory whilst ravel contributes a record (since records began in 1992) number of goals and assists..... ?

it's an open air environment in fairness which means it's extremely hard to spread covid. 

I don’t want to ruin Xmas but 2 x ACL injuries = no longer the superstar we all prayed for at £10M ?
