That’s excellent. Score, soak up the pressure and score an excellent goal on the break. Smith has been brilliant this half.

That was a painfully dull watch for the first 25 mins, reminded me of Southgate’s England at their very worst. But grew into it more as it went on. Those two Wilson chances might be the worst two misses I’ve seen from a single player in one half of football. Granted he did well to make the second one. But at least signs of something to build on in this second half.

Want to see Sibley in his actual position. Although I suspect he’ll be out wide again or dropped.

Portsmouth beating fancied Barnsley away to go top of the league tonight... Suddenly the 'worst performance some people could remember' from Saturday doesn't look all too bad. Talk about an overreaction...
-
With Barkhuizen and Embleton involved in u21s already this week I assume they won't feature from the start. Also assume John-Jules is still out?

Give the likes of Forsyth, Hourihane, Waghorn, Smith and NML a rest. Hopefully a chance for Bradley to be rehabilitated. Would like to see Brown from the start.

I think this is all getting out of hand now..
As others have pointed out, Warne isn't going anywhere given the length of his contract and our financial situation. The only way I can see him being sacked is if we near relegation, which doesn't appear to be on the cards at all.
Time to get behind him and the boys. I'm not a fan of the football we're playing either, and have felt like I want him out after disappointing performances, but it ain't happening.
People have moaned about the performances impacting the atmosphere at games and around the club. Calling for his head and starting three separate threads about him being replaced after a 1-1 draw with a good side is also going to ruin atmosphere.

Credit to Warne. We Have come out much better second half and subs have made a huge difference. Got away with it a the back a bit but that’s life, against a good team too. Just need to hold on now.

Washington is one of those players who looks like they’re running fast but isn’t actually.

The only chances we’ve had have come from their mistakes. We haven’t crafted one from open play ourselves, whereas they continue to do so. That’s the difference.

Win ball back - hoof aimlessly or work forward shoddily - lose ball - defend - repeat.

Is a semblance of a structure/game plan too much to ask for.

This is how’d I’d go, with Sibley and JJ pretty interchangeable. Wouldn’t be upset to see Embleton play either, want to see what these new lads can do.
Although I’m sure Warne will shoehorn that team into a 5/3 back again so…

Some people forget we will be due compensation if he doesn't renew his contract and leaves next summer.
Could that be anywhere near £3m? Genuine question. Always thought those fees were negligible.

Would people be happy to get £3m for Cashin and spend it all on JCH?
I don’t think he’d cost anywhere near that, given not long on his contract (I believe) and transfer listed.
£3m for Cashin, Cashin back on loan and JCH for £1.5m I’d absolutely take. Could maybe get him for cheaper with a promotion clause.
Cashin will be gone for free if we don’t go up this year, people seem to forget. -

Seems to be rated highly but injured a fair amount. Not that we can be picky at this point.

Wildsmith could count himself extremely unlucky at best to be dropped after keeping us in the game last week. Unless you’re ITK that he’s injured? Or committed a heinous crime, been arrested, charged and remanded until court after the BH?
Just liked Vickers to be honest.

That Witcoop who shared the original link is an absolute guess merchant. He was where the Collins to Shews thing came from. Half of his stuff about any club is just guess work, vague or posted after a proper journo makes the link as far as I can see.

Might be forgetting one but I think our first shot from open play came in the 81st minute from Thompson…

Might be being harsh but on first look, Wildsmith has to do better there.
