So if Mel was not a Derby fan, would he be treated differently, just an opinion but i will never forgive what Mel has done to the fans club, this is my opinion on the  situation, Mel mught be a great bloke, but he has upset me how he has left Derby in such a great mess,

Maybe its just me but I can't sit here and cry about the EFL after the way we've been operating for the past few years.
Rolled the dice, failed multiple promotion attempts and have tried loophole after loophole to try and straighten out since. How many non-parachute payment clubs were giving Darren Bent (and the rest) tens of thousands a week in this division? Sold their stadium to themselves? Signed a player through a sponsorship deal? Registered player amortisation different to the required standard?
I just can't sit here and say we've tried our best to avoid this mess, its been coming.
If that view makes me less of a Derby fan than the super supporters are, so be it. I'll support the club where ever it ends up but I'm not going to lie about its shady activity post 2014.

Quite honestly a portion of blame needs to be put at the door of all the parties involved. The EFL for pursuing a vendetta and not doing their job competently in the first place leading to post facto rules being imposed upon us- hounding us through the courts until they eventually got their judgement whilst letting more egregious cases in the past sail onto the premier league.
However, pretending Mel and Pearce are blameless in this is borderline lobotomy thinking. They've been playing around with the accounts because we've been spending money we haven't really got and it's led us to this point of absolute financial disaster that is crippling the club. At the same time, Morris has managed to alienate big players in the league and our governing body to the point they're sending out press releases with alternative fixture lists of us going down. It's just further representation of how absolutely dire that man's ownership of this club has been.

we can all say duck the efl and yes they're a poorly run organisation that are going off the rails but Mel's also put us into this position. I imagine it's become an absolute battle of wills and the collateral damage is the financial and football health of this institution.

Please don't blame Mel and Pearce? Seriously?
The sooner these two are out the door, the better. Road us to ruin.

This saga now just comes across as a vindictive face-saving exercise by the EFL and payback for all Mel's sniping at them over the years. We've made it easy for them by streching and bending the rules - giving them a convenient stick to beat us with.
You're not telling me that we accidentally used an accounting practice that no other club uses and then failed to highlight it properly in our submitted paperwork.
Mel & everyone else at DCFC thought they were cleverer than the EFL, which probably is the case but if you continually tread on the beast's tail, you're gonna get bitten at some point.

It would be better if the club could find a way to get Jack to fulfil his potential. The other option is another player being surplus to requirements, to be probably sold at a loss.

In all honesty, none of the above. He's in the managers role due to a series of unfortunate events, rather than being a stellar candidate for the once prestigious job of managing Derby County.

Not a case of pointing the finger. It's blatantly obvious that who ever carried out the due diligence, whether it was the highest paid consultant in the country, the DCFC tea lady, or Mr Morris himself... got it wrong. It's not as if either of the two proposed buyers came with glowing references.

Not an easy sell. I can see why Steve Mac and also Frank Lampard were able to secure some decent loans, with willing clubs hoping to see their players improve within a positive progressive team. I guess Wazza could offer "fancy a relegation scrap and the possibility of not getting paid, while playing some stunningly dire football...."

Not all clubs who breach ffp are heading for financial difficulty. Some are just filthy cheats (we're a bit of both) who tried to bypass the rules and so are punished accordingly.
Its not the EFLs fault that some clubs are run poorly from a financial perspective. The rules apply to everyone - not just the well run clubs.

I think the click link is quite amusing. You get the now standard terms and conditions/cookies/preferences pop up, and an option which I thought said ‘Ok with Mel’ but on closer inspection it was ‘Ok with me!’.
Garry Cook - Ok with Mel
Dodgy Sheikh - Ok with Mel
Erik Alonso - Ok with Mel
Fawaz Al-Hasawi - Ok with Mel
Sam Rush - No thank you
Snoop Dogg & Dr Dre - Ok with Mel
Au Yeung Wai Kay - Ok with Mel

Totally agree. Let's not forget that many of Mr Morris's recruitment decisions (and subsequent costly sackings) play a big part in the lead up to the current circumstances, where we have the inexperienced and under qualified Rooney in the managers role.
