Personally a bit underwhelmed with CK potentially owning DCFC, however, it's preferable to liquidation.

Yep, Kirchner still has a stack of 'get out of jail' cards.

No football club in history has had its books examined as closely as we have thanks to Maguire and Gibson running to the EFL with "please miss, please miss, Melvyn's been cheating" stories.
"Miss" Parry duly ordered an investigation of Watergate proportions and managed to find the amortisation issue that they'd previously signed off as ok just to shut them up.

Yes better than liquidation, no more no less. Would have hoped that even as dire as things are, DCFC could have attracted someone more credible than CK. All said and done, if he's the only one willing to buy the club on acceptable terms, then that's where we are.

I wouldn't have him here just for the way he's pissed Preston around, doesnt seem the way to conduct yourself professionally.
If he does that to another club could equally do the same to us. Seems a bit of a tyre kicking chancer.

    I don't know.
But I really don't want to see us go back to the same situation as before, where a rich owner is willing to put some money in for an unspecified period of time, until he gets bored and pulls out. Kaboom, start the whole palaver again.
Football has to pay its way without the need for oil sheiks and oligarchs. Otherwise what have we learned since administration?

Yes, I can’t believe owners wouldn’t want the stadium. Someone like Ashley surely would see it as a key part of promoting his brand plus naming rights etc…..

It is unprecedented, certainly in the manner of how the club has arrived at the current dire financial situation. Also the humiliation and shame the club and supporters have been exposed to. In the main, due to the actions of one individual. Just my take on things.

I have one big ask here. Please stay off the pitch, please don’t protest, it’s not the time.
Support the team, that is the most important thing we can do at the moment

Surprised by the relatively sympathetic comments towards Mel on this thread. The key point for me is that it was Mel's decision alone to separate the club from its stadium. If he hadn't done this, the stadium would be in administration along with the club and this seemingly intractable scenario wouldn't have arisen in the first place.
He's created this situation, the least he can do is sort it out, otherwise the club dies. BAWT are quite right to protest IMHO.
There's also this option to reconsider given how close to liquidation we appear to be

According to the article "Quantuma may have the power to "force" the purchase of the club's ground" as an asset related to administration under the terms of section 71 of the insolvency act.

They could give us a little more information, like yes there is still 3 bids in the running. A statement telling us the stumbling block is the cost of what Mel wants for Pride park etc. The None Disclosure is about details of who is bidding and their various details. They don't confirm the exact amount of bidders and they seemed to have dropped the "shortly" and "immanently" quotes. Any other club on the brink and thinking of going into administration, won't be giving these clowns a call.

My friend has not long left of his life, He has terminal cancer and has maybe only weeks to live.  He had his first season ticket when he came out of the army in the mid fifties, and has had it every season since, and then when he married in 1963 his wife had one too, they never missed a home match, but then covid came along and they have not been again. We have a mutual friend who lives in the USA he is in the UK this week end and is taking my friend to what is likely to be his last match ever. I'm just hoping if there are any protests it wont affect the match. So please spare a thought or a prayer if your so minded on Saturday. I wont say his name as he hated social media as much as he loved the Rams. So UP THE RAMS  P will be thinking of you.

The admins and Mel are fully ensconced in their respective nuclear bunkers so are totally immune to the fall out from any protests.
You would be better buying a ouija board to try and communicate with either of them.

B4 I respect you at lot mate but honestly there’s nothing we can do. We can protest. What’s that going to achieve realistically. Mel Morris will be known as a man who single-handedly killed a founding member of the EFL. The EFL will be under scrutiny as now Us, Bolton, Wigan, Macclesfield Among many other keep going down. I think we’ll see a massive change in English football in the years to come

Traditionally, Blackpool one of the best away days. We will probably be all but relegated by then, but nevertheless it should hopefully be a nice day at the coast for the Rams away fans, who have been amazing this season.

Funny how often my mind drifts back to Valentines day in 2015(?). When during breakfast, Mel took offence to me stating he undermined Clement by entering the dressing room. His response annoyed me a lot, something along the lines of “oh, so you want me to put in all my money and shut up? Not have a say?”, my reply, being keen to avoid claims of hypocrisy was “no, not at all, I don’t care if you dont spend anything, I demand better coaching and that manager to be allowed to do his job!”.

after this, Mel told tales of Clement vetoing the Sako deal, tearing the gym down and alienating players to justify his trigger finger, then @Eddie muttered in his louded “my hearing aid is faulty” voice that “you should never have sacked McClaren!” ??
