I dare you, no I double dare you, after an away win and clean sheet to bring yourself to say something positive about Warne as a manager.
After today’s performance? The result is the only positive. We were awful, and the blame for that lies with the manager

Winning but an absolutely horrific performance so far. Any other team and we’d be losing this. We look like a Sunday league side with some of our passing. Horrible to watch

It’s all about results. Get us in the top two and I’ll back Warne. Simple as that. We’ve got the best team in the league, and he’s failing with it.

Not a man but DCFC Reserves....
Hardly our reserve side really, let’s be fair

I agree. In fact, I’d make every day a Warne free day. Perhaps by getting him a one way ticket to sunny Australia.

Man fails to beat team on 15 game unbeaten run, sack him now.
Balance required.
Of course, I agree entirely. You should never base your opinion on just one game.
My views on Warne have been formed over his year in charge. The Portsmouth game was far from the worst result we’ve had during his reign.

almost like it was deliberately tongue in cheek? 🤔
With the OP who started the thread, I don’t think it is

Bit unfair. I am in one of the « I don’t think he is the right man » and « I hate his style of football » camp. Yet last night was pretty enjoyable, albeit against lincoln reserves. Do I think he wiil revert to the crap that has been served up recently? Yes. Do I want someone else who plays progressive football who can entertain? Yes. However, credit when credit is due, and last night was enjoyable. Was is the best football ever? No. But it was miles better than Saturday.
I agree, the performance last night was much much better. If we can play like that all the time then I’ll change my mind on Warne.
But threads like this calling him a tactical genius after one game against a weak opponent is very premature.

Duck me, another game? Do we have to?
I want to watch something more entertaining. Like that paint drying on my wall

Please don’t get my hopes up mate
Only told he’s the one we want, not that he’s signing.
Also, was told today by a different (and much more reliable) source that David Clowes has absolutely not interest in sacking Paul Warne and wants him to be in charge for the long term. Which may be even more depressing than my exam tomorrow.

We don't know
Warne doesn't know
Elder doesn't know
Same as most most of the players.
NML is an explosive winger... did he take a single player on on the outside today? Did Fornah stick to a DM role and take the ball off the defenders before finding a forward pass? Did Washington and Waghorn look like two players who know each other's games and could form a good partnership?
Swear I heard Warne say after the match that we started off 4-2-3-1… I can assure him we did not. That was as flat a 4-4-2 as you can see.
The man doesn’t even understand his own tactics ffs

I thought that… not exactly something to applaud. That’s usually for when a club legend dies at 90 odd having lived a full life… not when hundreds of kids are being found dead. Very uncomfortable.
I’d like to say that the Portsmouth fans were an absolute disgrace as well. Imagine being willingly that disrespectful to two absolutely horrific events. Shocking, and it was more than just a few of them too.

Derby v Carlisle (A) Match Thread
in Derby County Forum

Don’t be deliberately obtuse. I want the manager to accept blame for the horrific performance, which 9 times out of 10 would result in a Derby loss, and focus on improving it. Wilfully ignoring the performance just because we got a fortune 3 points (largely as Carlisle were crap) will lead us nowhere but down.
And who the f*** do you think you’re calling the sky generation?! I left my apartment in London at 7am this morning, won’t get back until midnight, and spent 8 hours and £100 in travel to watch that game today. Im gonna hazard a guess and say you probably didn’t do the same, as you prefer to spend your time on here bullying other forum members.
Nothing annoys me more than that stereotype about “my generation”. We’ve been through hell and back with this football club, with almost no success in the last 20 years. But because we dare question the s**** performances of the team, we’re the problem? As I said to your other half on here, you keep your head in the sand, the rest of us won’t. This team is going nowhere playing like that, absolutely nowhere.
FWIW, I remember you making similar comments to me when I was critical of Mel Morris’ running of the club a few years back. Think that tells everyone all they need to know about you.
