We’ll, given that the manager has a 4 year contract with the aim of being in the championship by the time it is concluded, I would suggest to you, as only just over a year has passed, then it IS an option.
That’s not true though, is it?
The aim was to be established in the Championship by the time it is concluded. I’d argue it’ll take 2 years to re-establish ourselves in the Championship once we get there. Therefore, promotion this year is a must to achieve that.

Or the finances?
There were definitely players he could have bought, I’ve been told he turned down the chance to sign Alfie May because he wasn’t up to his “character” standards. He’s scored 11 goals for Charlton already.

We’re taking the mighty Crewe to a replay! The giant killings keep coming under Paul Warne. One of the greatest days in derbys history
-
Would be really embarrassing if this was our first team and Crewe had an injury crisis.
-
Quelle surprise, a corner was not turned on Tuesday. Back to our losing ways under Warne
-
Same old story. Don’t take your chances, get punished
-
Well, that was better. Went to pot as soon as Collins came on, but c’est la vie.
Can’t wait to lose to Crewe on Saturday now when we revert to goofball.

Brown would’ve buried that.
Then again, so would I

GET IN!
This is much more like it, playing football through midfield. Absolutely fantastic goal that, brilliant ball by Hourihane and such composure from Bird.
This is what we’ve needed.

Superb individual goal by Washington that. Top class, fair play to him, didn’t think he had that in his locker.
Now let’s keep going and batter them. We need the confidence boost.

Get in Birdy!
Now let’s put these to the sword ffs

So underwhelmed when I look at that line up. Not sure if it's formation, players, tactics or a combination. Totally lacks bite for me. Honestly looking at what's available I'd be going 2 up top with either Collins or Brown up with Washington.
I think it’s the man on the touch line that makes you feel like that.
If a proper manager was in charge and we were playing football, then you could see plenty of goals from the likes of Barkhuizen, Mendez-Laing and Hourihane.
As it stands, you can envisage 90 mins of lumping it up to Washington with no success.

Sorry…..BT gave some of us some hope. Not to be the case. Never mind 🥲
Unfortunately BT isn’t very on the money with anything other than player transfers from what I’ve seen. Weird, as his source is clearly accurate on those.

I’m sorry but you’ve got no chance of Clowes sitting back and letting this play out.
He will know exactly where the supporter base is at and that isn’t going to change.
Not changing things now would have the possibility of a lot of supporters turning against the whole club and not just PW and his coaching staff.
Trust me mate, I’m totally with you, I think Warne should go now.
Sadly though, like it or not, Clowes is very much in the Warne in camp. That’s not likely to change any time soon.

He's waiting for Warne to resign when the fans get shitty? This isn't what you want to hear, can't believe it tbh.
Don’t think that’s the idea. He has full faith in his managerial ability.

It’s going to turn very toxic and crowds of about 15k
Perhaps, but he still wont sack him. He sees him as the long term answer. He’ll stick by him unless something drastic changes sadly.

Thanks for sharing, are you saying you believe no changes are coming from what you've heard ?
I’m saying there is precisely zero change of change with things now they stand. Nothing has changed in that regard. Clowes will not sack Paul Warne.

So you have spoken to somebody who knows DC…
‘it doesn’t get much more reliable’ only the horses mouth is reliable
Very close to that, yes.

You have no track record of any correct statements. I'll go with the person who has proven knowledge. I don't believe that you do.
I honestly couldn’t care less what you believe. You believed Warne was a good manager until about a week ago.
I’ve been correct multiple times before. I know who this persons source is, and it doesn’t get much more reliable.

Will Clowes patience soon run out?
