It's a bit silly entering them into this tournament when relegating us would probably see us go out of business, so unable to even compete in the competition in the first place.

Cheating is a very emotive word. All of the benefits we have gained from our Machiavellian attempts to circumnavigate the rules such as selling the ground have resulted in zero gain from us other than pissing off other clubs and now the EFL who are now gleefully trying to do their best to get their own back on us.

I would say that Luton are a far better prospect than us at the moment so if he's turned down a contract extension with them then that's us out. 

So as a young lad playing football... you had your dad's name on the back of your shirt, had your dad's hair cut and would try replicate all things your dad would do? 
It's got nothing to do with parents shirking responsibility. Kids will always look up to other people in areas that interest them such as football. I'm not saying all footballers HAVE to be role models because they don't... It's not in their job description. It's just from a personal perspective I'd like my club to have players that young people can look up to... rather than those who don't abide by the law. (I'd put something a bit more blunt here but I know how delicate you admins can be about words that are seen as negative to players albeit even if they are 100% factually accurate). 

His overall performances this season have been rubbish. His end product has been absolutely appauling. He shows glimpses of quality but I don't think just because the fans arnt focussing on his occasional good touch and movement that they have no knowledge because they judge him on his end product.

Paradoxically he seems to play better against international calibre players. Which isn't difficult however judging his past seasons performance. Unfortunately for him the Championship ain't gifted with a glut of quality players. 

Do you not listen or read posts ? The lad had injury/fitness problems last season. A Liverpool fan I know says he is the business, just had bad advice and kicked that "advisor" in to touch , cut him some slack for goodness sake.

Is the U23 league really a reflection of how good the young players of those clubs are? I think this is may be why we seem to think our academy is better than it is because of our success in these competitions... when actually the really good U23s are already staring in regular first team football such as how Mounts career has panned out.

And so many "Academy Experts" remain blindly optimistic about Derby youth players without looking at the bigger picture.
We rate our youth so highly but the reality is that our recent highly rated players have never reached the potential of how good we thought they were. 
Will Hughes and Jeff Hendrick spring to mind.
