That's the problem... he knows the state our squad is in.

I may not be a scout, but I believe I'm a very good judge of player in our academy. Over the past 10 years or so I can only recall being wrong about 2 players 'making it' in our first team - Callum Ball and Brad Foster - and there's still time for my call on Foster to be proven right. Well, I guess you can add Whittaker to the list too. From as far back as the Rowett season I identified Knight as a player who would make an impact on the first team (he was 16/17 at the time). Most people hadn't even heard his name until the end of the 18/19 season when he appeared in the playoff squads.
 
You don't like the comparison with Reading, despite their squad fighting relegation for the majority of the previous season (they only made 5 signings that summer, 3 on loan and 1 from L1).. so here's one with a Derby side which made a late challenge for top 6 2 seasons ago. Only 5 gaps, so chuck in a 6th summer signing in wherever you see fit.

I think he's being a bit optimistic with 9 signings (8 really as Davies is one of them)
With out budget, I'm struggling to see beyond 6 signings. 2 CBs (+ Davies), possibly DM (Bielik cover), 2 wingers, 1 CF

We finished 6th in the league before our championship specialist arrived. Since his arrival, we're now barely capable of competing at this level.
What have you got to suggest he's adding good value?

He's our championship specialist ? so specialist that he's turned us into a side that's never going to get out of the championship.

Also where where these “Hawks” when QPR , Villa , Bournemouth , Fester etc were busting FFP. Also let’s see your books for the last 5 years as well to make sure you are “clean” as well.

Not really sure why the original poster is being called a WUM in lean times on the pitch season ticket sales and attendance drop it the same at all clubs.

It's difficult to get an accurate reflection from this forum on when people stop buying a season ticket. We are by definition on here a somewhat self selecting group who are bothered enough to spend our time on a DCFC forum. I would therefore expect a higher proportion of more emotionally invested fans...and consequently a higher level of loyalty to keep buying.
Nearly all teams see a decline in tickets sold as they decline down the leagues. If for example Derby get relegated to League 1 how many seasons tickets would they sell. £15k? Clearly 5-10k less than the recent play off chasing seasons.
Taking COVID out of the equation If that were the case then in normal circumstances  around 20%-25% of season tickets holders would stop buying just because of lower level football.
