-15 again will severely impair ability to service payment plans going forward for HMRC. If a proposal is put forward, that we can pay more over a longer period of time by clearing football creditors now to include club health over the next 2 years, they'll take that. If we have millions to clear following a 40 % initial payment but are in League 2, any plan fails or will be renegotiated to a far smaller amount. Best to play a longer game with far less chance of default.
To be honest I’d rather wait and see what happens than keep going round and round the guessing game merry go round

Two questions; managed to pick up an 06/07 home shirt still with the tags on it BUT… it’s signed by The Dwarf, what gets rid of Sharpie? ?
Secondly, am I right in thinking or is it The Mandela Effect that there was an unworn third shirt in 06/07 that was the home kit but the black and white was flipped? I know it was definitely the case for 05/06.
Are you thinking of the time we wore black v Brighton in the cup in 2008?

Couldn't a scrap value only apply to a balance sheet. Like a disposal bonus a £10 million contract write down over 5 years ending in say a free agent but 500k as a positive entry on a balance sheet??? An offset for value provided to the business or something like that.
As you were ikechi anya ??
Who’d set the value?

Absolutely this. Amen
Footballers unless retiring should have a 'scrap value' applied when contract runs out. Similar to a vehicle (my area of work) at end of working life.
Then comes the arguments over how those scrap values are worked out. But not insurmountable.
As players are free to move at the end of their contracts they cannot have any value to the club at all. That’s why they are called free agents

Couldn't you apply a straight-line amortisation yet still arrive at an end-of-contract value? Must the contract always arrive at £0.00? It doesn't work like that for business assets like plant, buildings, fixtures....
Buy a player for £3 million over a three-year contract, amortise him for £750k each year = £2,250 'depreciation'; £750 ERV
Out of all this, I still cannot see why a player's registration should be valueless at the end of a contract with his club.
But then, this is football, sometimes 'beyond statute'.
One word “Bosman” - player registrations are valueless as they prevent free movement of trade under EU law ….. oh wait we are no longer under EU law

I've seen someone give this the laughing emoji but it's a very fair point.
EFL have set a very dangerous precedent now.
Or by opening up the possibility of claims they are placing a wage cap by other means. Chairman will be too scared of law suits to break overspending as it could force them into financial difficulties.

How have the administrators, who have gone through every bit of financial business at the club and worked out every last penny the club owes, not managed to do the accounts for this season yet?
Perhaps it’s accounts for last season? They’re filed in arrears aren’t they? There been a lot of wrangling behind the scenes and maybe the stadium loans etc have to be factored in.
-
Just had a thought. For us to be liquidated the following would need to happen (I think)
1) a creditor lodge a wining up petition to the court
2) the court issue a winding up order, after considering the financial situation of the club
Would a court issue a winding up order due to the presence of two so far unvalued claims for compensation?

Can Mike Ashley even legally bid on the club?
It's well known he, or at least a company he owns, provided Amanda Stavelely with her loan to buy 10% percent of Newcastle, there's even legal proceedings pending in the matter.
Can he have a stake in two separate clubs at the same time, however arms length?
Loaning someone money to buy a stake in a business doesn’t give claim to that stake - unless the loan is defaulted. Non issue

England the architects of their own downfall but that was one of the worst refereeing performances I've ever seen in international rugby. Absolutely gutless.
In any instance, if I never see Ben Youngs in an England shirt again it'll be too soon. When you you have 9's like Randall and Quirke but you insist on playing Mr Two-Step, you've really let your ego overrule common sense. Jones' rugby style is even more one-dimensional than Warrenball and we'll win nothing until he's gone. He'll of course talk about the massive injury list but 10-man, kick-chase rugby has had its day. Hooking Smith off with 20 to go just when he was starting to boss the game really shows how stubborn Jones is, not that he'll see it that way of course.
It’s how the last World Cup was won. Kicking with no purpose is pointless but kicking with purpose and a great chase is a valid tactic to get possession in the opponents half/22 and then let the backs go wild. Especially with the new 50/22 kick rule where defenders under pressure can’t just shepherd the ball out they have to play it.
problem is we are not as good or disciplined as the spring boks at doing it because we stopped doing it at all for so long.
wish we had a stand off like Rob Andrew right now.

This is an odd one, how many 11 year olds are left on a Friday and Saturday night some looking after younger siblings. I’m not saying it’s right but this is common place imo!
There’s no legal age to be left on your own either - just when parents thinks the kids are capable of looking after themselves.

I've just had a look at the QPR forum and found this:
"if not said already, where has all their money gone from the play off final v us, clubs agreed losing team took the money, i think around £40m that's a chunk of dosh"
So apparently we've got £80m lying around somewhere from our two play-off finals
They’re idiots - £40m gate receipts?

DCFCs are not "football debts" the EFL are saying they are, Administraters are saying they're not, The EFL have been given a get out of jail free card here, The outcome is down to Gibson and Middlesboro, With Middlesboros threat to the EFL of suing them...who's calling the shots here.
I'll wager there's been contact between the EFL and Gibson.
So the EFL say they are we contest it. Mel indemnifies for when it’s all sorted to pay them in full if they are classed as football debts, or on the same %as non football creditors got if not classed as football debts.
that way no non football creditors get a better deal than others, MFC WW get what they should get if their claims are upheld.

Yes, all those EFL/Boro 'statements' going on and on about Boro being ready for arbitration and we were stalling...
May 2022 really should be on a billboard!
But Boros latest statement doesn’t use the word Arbitration at all, it’s mediation that EFL and they wanted. But as we all know there is a big difference between mediation and arbitration - mediation stalls the process until arbitration is needed

This will be the EFLs reply.
After studying the proposal from Mr Melvin Morris, The EFL and it's legal council have again said that this is a "football debt issue" we can't and wont accept a 3rd party getting involved.
We will not be making any further statements on this issue
They can’t say that because they’ve let other clubs out of Admin where a third party has funded the football debts and not the clubs buyers

They have to Roy, he will pay them if he loses - if they go after DCFC it’s because they want to destroy the club and everyone else can see that at this point
Their claim is against the conduct of the club. They haven’t got to do anything
-
Hollow gesture - he knows they won’t go after him, and the claim isn’t against him it’s the conduct of the club
if he wanted to guarantee helping he needed to say “I will personally pay the compensation that is due from DCFC to MFC and WWFC as it is decided” that way the third part funding is clearing football debts and satisfies the requirements of EFL insolvency policies.
-
Third parties can clear the debts of the club coming out of administration.
would be better if MM says “whatever compensation is decided I will pay as a third party finder” that way the bidders can bid without reference to it.
