If CK wants the Club will he pay enough so we don't get -15 points?

That will depend on if we get enough points to climb out of the relegation zone.

If we don’t get enough pints to climb out of the bottom 3 then to me there is no point paying more to avoid the points deduction. The saving can then be used to help fund players for next season.

the only time I think he will pay enough to avoid the points deduction would be if we manage to get out the bottom 3, as it would mean we stay in the championship with no points deduction.

Wiw, so as crap as Mercedes have been so far, they’re still second in the drivers and constructors tables, and Hamilton is currently ahead of max.

the car might be crap, but at least it can get round the track.

Can’t win if you don’t finish. It’s going to be hard for redb bull to sort reliability issues out during the season - they ten to stick around.

A second early rise to see Leclerc boss qualification. No real surprise there and I suspect that if he makes the first bend ahead of Verstappen, he'll simply drive away from the field.

Fantastic from Norris again. McLaren seem to have overcome their technical challenges in rapid time and Lando is 0.4 of a second quicker than Danny Ricc who looks done to my eyes. Norris is a nailed-on future champion, I reckon.

Nice work from Hamilton and Russell dragging a very truculent car up into 5th and 6th respectively. They remain over half a second off the pace however and have little to no chance of challenging for the podium tomorrow. We're told upgrades are 'in the post' but by the time they arrive, their season could already be over. Watching the pair of them wrestling with a car that just doesn't want to go around corners is disconcerting and must be embarrassing for the Merc team higher-ups.

Side note - watching the in-car video, this porpoising issue is really not good. Watching the drivers heads being shaken up and down all through the straights and high speed corners is a concern. Massive kudos to the drivers for still managing to spot their breaking zones. Not for Latifi though. He seems to total his car every time he climbs in it and needs to get gone IMO.

The new layout suits McLaren - they are still poor in slow speed corners

    I didn't I just didn't post what I put, So I'll post it.

CK offers to buy PNE, Does his due diligence and offers less money, The owners tell him to go 4th and multiply, Then within days becomes DCFCs PB, It's like watching Paul Daniels produce a rabbit out of the hat, Q have a lot to answer for, Not good enough last year but good enough today...if stories of his announcement are correct.

Is that what happened? Or did he just not put a bid in for PNE once it became apparent we still needed abuyer

His was bid was for over two years - maybe he’s been convinced to alter the structure of his bid?

We have 6 games left, probably need to go unbeaten and win at least 4. We need goals. Could Curtis be the target man we need? Has a good touch and good in the air, could give us a much-needed focal point up top? Stearman the ready made replacement at the back and Bielik/Knight central midfield duo?

No no no - maybe if we are behind in the last 10 minutes to try and get a point

  6. MM and buyer brinkmanship

bids are enough to clear football debt or buy the stadium but not both.

MM holding out for money towards the stadium (hence the £5m figure I saw in a an article last week) or an agreement to lease

buyers saying - we’ll if we dint buy the cub gets wound up you get nothing and don’t own the stadium (as his £20m isn’t the only security MSD hold and will repossess.) so why would we agree to lease it back?

they’ll meet somewhere in the middle

  7. If buyers aren’t willing to rent the stadium MM must be offering to charge a large fee - as maintenance and running cost would be his responsibility. Offer low rent and this option becomes viable in the short term

if he gifted the stadium he’d have to stump up the £20m personal guaranteed loan against it.

if he doesn’t do this and the club goes under he obviously has no real care for the club or it’s fans, and is just wanting to runaway from his “personal guarantee” for the loan that he was bragging about doing for the better of the club.

  8. Erm - the golden share is a red herring

    1) exit Admin under an agreement that does not meet EFL minimum results in points deduction but the golden share is transferred

    2) exit admin and meet EFL requirements golden share is transferred

if football creditors paid in full and HMRC and other creditors agree a payment plan for what’s left then golden share is transferred in either scenario.

There is no threshold for golden share transfer

I think the cut of point is 30th I think mate.

Cut off four registrations is the fourth Thursday of March at 5pm - so 24th.

coincidentally it’s also the cut off for automatically applying points deductions in a current season too

  10. Okay controversial post

we are not that important anymore

we weren’t that important when league was founded 140 years ago

accrington Stanley ….. who are they? The league would have existed without Derbyshire county cricket club footballing section and will still exist without Derby County

we are no more than a member of a club of 72 that has new members lining up

  11. Come on guys let’s face facts

No one  posting in this thread has a scooby do what’s happening.

This topic is completely irrelevant apart from showcasing whose got the most free time to google DCFC and administration

let’s just focus on the matches and the almost irrelevant personal opinions as to the quality of the team selection or irrelevance of quality of players.

Because we can't exit administration without either a CVA or a court order. If none of the bids are high enough to achieve one or the other, they are not viable. If the bids are not viable, Quantuma will not get paid. They will, however get paid in the event of liquidation.

There is also the matter of the MSD charge over the club, which then links everything to the stadium and Mel Morris. It's possible that no bid can be accepted without the agreement of those two parties.

Can just be a written agreement from all creditors, not necessarily a court order

Perhaps his old club didn't want him back and preferred the cash, MLS is only a few weeks into a new season and he possibly knew he had no future with us.

We could only sell to a country with an open transfer window perhaps?

I am just saying that even if creditors agree to 25% over 2 years that is over £400K per month (£500K if you include ground rent) to pay out before even recruiting more players to bring the squad up to strength. It might just be that the estimated income especially in League 1 doesn't cover the expenditure.Just my opinion and it hasn't changed,i can't see HMRC accepting 25% anyway.

The 25% has to paid in full to avoid a 15 point deduction - or it’s at least 35% over a payment plan which can be for three years

Q shouldnt have put the club in a position where the league we are in is relevant

any amount we cost in this league will be the same as us being in league one had we sold assets and not taken loans out to see the season. we have borrowed the same amount PLUS INTEREST that the tv revenues would be.

the biggest failure of Q has been they have not made the club cheaper to buy, in doing so it is highly unlikely we will find a buyer

a disaster scenario is we go down and still have all those loans we took out to pay

There job isn’t to make it cheaper to buy, it’s to cut costs and make it possible to be bought. Had we not sold players we would not have had funds to complete the season.

  16. Just a theory here

if we have a plan to come out of Admin that will cause a 15 point deduction and it’s done now wouldn’t that deduction be applied now and not next season? (As per the 12 pt deduction for administration taking place before 5pm on the fourth Thursday in March?

if it’s after the fourth Thursday in March deduction would be applied this season if it relegates us or next season if we are relegated without it applying.

it’s better punishment for us if the EFL delay because it gives a strong chance of a -15 pt start to next season.

I stand corrected but the point I was trying to make is still valid (I think).

You don’t need the EFL’s agreement to exit administration - just the creditors agreement. But the EFL can impose further sanctions if they don’t like your business plan.

The deductions are for not meeting 25% as a lump sum or 35% via a payment plan. This does not need to be via a CVA.
