Rich Riley looks to have limited funds, essentially a very successful CEO within the tech industry, but not with anything that he's created, ala King Games, which leads me to believe he's a very well paid employee - usually a long way off what's required to run a multi-million pound football club, without considering the insanely high level of debt hanging over the club.
I just hope, if he does put the money in, that he isn't over-stretching himself where it becomes quickly obvious that it's going to deplete his life savings and means we're just kicking the can down the road.

Anyone else think Gibson is fishing for info because he can’t be involved in discussions and noones telling him what’s going on?

SFL relegated rangers to the bottom under similar circumstances
-
Ferguson in charge until either we go under (get Rooney forFree) or are relegated and Rooney resigns (get him for free)
seriously they are waiting to see what happens

We could come out of admin without a CVA in place - points deduction = relegation
sell our players - weakened squad probable relegation then EFL back off
either of these give the EFL what they appear to want. DCFC in existence but relegated.

Not but I assumed only the EFL knew that! ?
As for the CVA plan, why do we have to leave admin that way?
Because if you don’t you get more points deducted / Luton lost 20 points and ended up in the conference.

Just to slighly challenge you iram instead of my new found habit of agreeing with you :
"To be clear neither Boro or Wycombe have commenced a legal process" Is this true? Isn't claiming disputed amounts of money which can only be decided by an arbitration in accordance with EFL rules a "legal process" of sorts?
The law says commenced or continued with. So even if started the admin can still not continue it.

I have just had a reply from Rick. He started by asking me not to be offensive. I didn't feel I was, I just asked him to grow a pair of baalocks and get it sorted. And suggested he set up a panel quickly to hear the claims, put them to bed one way or another, so we can move on.
His reply was pretty much the statement they released. But he also said that he could put a panel together quickly and do just that, but 'the parties need to agree to do this'. Looks like no one is actually prepared to get a decision on it? But as 3 parties involved who knows.
Also said I should ask the administrators what they have been doing, as they have known they needed to sort the issue out from Day 1.
But according the law the claims have no value while in administration so the exit plan can only say “once out of administration let’s go for the LAP or we’ll see them in court”

I think the admin have said what is going on. They cannot start getting a voluntary agreement with creditors until there is agreement with EFL on how Boro and Wycombe claims should be treated in the necessary creditors vote. It's not about who pays for the claims if they win.. that will be the new owners liability if it happens.
But in any creditors vote each creditor has a weight according to the amount of money owed to them. So admin team has to assess that. It will be very low weight given to Boro and Wycombe claims I guess because admin team has said the claims are of no merit and they are not football creditors anyway.
For some reason EFL do not agree with admin teams assessment. Ultimately EFL has to approve the transfer to new owners , and if they do not accept the validity of the creditor vote then we are at loggerheads. In the meantime they are trying to bully us with threats, deliberately co-inciding with the end of January transfer window.
.There was once a club that came out of administration without a CVA - the league gave them a 20 point deduction for doing so. The league hasn’t changed much since they tried to put Luton out of business.

You would, however once this is all over, new rules will be made where this action cannot be taken against other clubs or you risk losing your membership to the league.
Not even satire at this point, it will happen as soon as this has been resolved. A meeting will take place where they all vote in favour as a number of clubs will face FFP deductions over the next 12 months.
They will wait until the window closes, then have the arbitration and tell Boro and Wycombe no case to answer, bring out the new rules you mention. OR they will offer us a further points deduction for not accounting for the claims, then let’s us proceed the takeover and tell boro and Wycombe to eff off
perfect result for the league in either scenario - DCFC relegated, No future claims for denial of promotion/or for in relegation.
when points deductions started for financial issues they punished Luton right down to the conference. They survived because they could find buyers - I’m sure we will always attract a buyer.

I will probably post more fully later Kevin. I have just had a quick skim through as per my morning routine, but have a few things to do over the next few hours.
2 immediate thoughts.
Don’t worry about angry faces on the Internet.
I think Quantuma were mugged by the EFL on Thursday, but it is really harsh to blame them. They no doubt entered the meeting with a plan that met the statutory requirements of IA86 and all Acts that followed, that was for the collective benefit of the established creditors who they represent, and with a funding arrangement and plan in accordance with the backing of their preferred bidder which would give the club an opportunity to still be competitive this season, as well as ensuring its continuing survival. The EFL cut through all of that it seems by insisting that their rule on arbitration of Boro and Wycomb’s vexatious claims must come before any of that is considered is astonishing, in my view - but I am no legal expert, and I won’t become one scouring the Internet over the coming days. I would have thought that Quantuma must now consider taking counsel with a view to injuncting the EFL to enable the statutory process to proceed. If they have the funds to do so. Otherwise perhaps MSD will. They have a lot to lose if they end up ultimately with a white elephant stadium for their £25m advance, and no Club to play in it.
Thanks for such a concise reply - you’d think the EFL wouldn’t want the boro and Wycombe claims to have any credence at all - else it will open up potential future floodgates of claims.
In any case how can they be considered I am exit plan when they have no actual value until the arbitration is complete. -
The boro and wycombe claims have no value until they are considered by some sort of inquiry. If they are given credence then football explodes because any team that list in the playoffs to us can then also make a claim.
the EFL are just being Bamfords and will eventually back down once we are down.
daily mail had a headline of more points deductions because of football debts - I reckon another 12 points coming our way and then takeover goes ahead. Followed by Boro and Wycombe being told to shut up

Anyone got any thoughts on MVP?
Players in the running, Brady, Rodgers, Taylor, Kupp, Burrow.
I’d kind of like Cooper Kupp to win it, just because a WR has never won it before. It's always been a quarterback and running back dominated award and now running backs have fell out of favour. 54 of the 57 MVP’s have gone to those two positions.
Only 2 defensive legends managed to break through, Alan Page and Lawrence Taylor and randomly a kicker won it once ?♂️
Anyway, it's probably between Brady and Rodgers.
I reckon Rodgers just because he’s been injured and playing through and there’s been a fair few injuries and he’s kept us winning.

Maintain our first half of the season form puts us on about 40 points. Those above us maintain theirs well be 6 points shy I reckon. but if we get close then the pressure could effect results
I reckon 50-50

Now look what you've done @jimbo jones, you've gone and given the Vikings a chance against the Packers, very sly.
Tbh I’m having them to beat us anyway - we’ve been lucky in loads of games and shouldn’t be anywhere near number one seed this season
