    Warning, fruitful language.

Two games! They need to give their heads a wobble. He didn't sack Eustace FFS, AND they never had to watch him lumbering around on the pitch for them. They're practically lucky.

  2. When I'm being critical for teams, I try and think of something they do well. Wether it's pressing, or counter attacking, or defending set pieces etc.

But I can't think of a single thing we do well under Warne. We don't even do most things decently.

What truly frustrated me beyond belief is hearing Warne try and say we're playing well. "We need to be more aggressive" he says, but what about a bit of creativity or skill? It takes me back to when he first came in and rumours came out that the players were aghast that his tactics were "run more".

Not coming over to the fans yesterday looked like he was hiding, wether he was or not. If he is sacked (and I think he should be) then the new manager needs to be in before December so he can assess the squad and work on targets before to he window opens.

    Go get Eustace.

  3. Sturridge was lightning before the injuries started to add up. Being so short somehow made him look even faster because his legs were going like Roadrunner.

Giles Barnes had a good turn of pace too, but I'm not sure he ever reached top speed without getting his legs taken out.

  4. I really appreciated Rooney's dedication to the club, but I don't consider him a good manager. Pumping his own money into the club, regardless of ability, deserves praise and respect. He fostered a brilliant "Us Vs them" mentality and we'd probably have stayed up if we'd been allowed to keep Jags and other expiring contracts, but he was a figurehead manager. On the pitch, we didn't really have an identity or, well, any sort of plan. My own, uninformed, opinion is that Rosenior did a lot of the coaching.

But the players did seem to enjoy playing for him, and it'd be very telling if the likes of Bird and Cash do make the move.

  5. Missed the first 20 mins, but we were playing some nice possession football in spots there. Not sure if we look ok or if Lincoln didn't bother turning up though, because they look clueless.

Cash is spraying the ball around like Pirlo and Bradley has won everything in the air and, so far, hasn't managed to cost us a goal. Love Fornah too, he reads the game very well and has a knack of being in the right defensive position.

Green shoots after the weekends dross.

  6. It's the project promotion paradox. If we're going all out to get out of the league this year, you spend the money. The Morris approach, that nearly binned off an entire club because when it goes wrong, it's catastrophic. If he's interested in resale value, then he's obviously got a plan beyond this season and you've got to imagine he's got Clowes' support for that.

That said, I don't think JCH was the right player for us. His game revolves around getting the ball out to pacey players around him, then being in the right place to capitalise. We don't have the pace and Warne would expect a lot more pressing and work from him.

  7. As much as the decisions have been awful, fans have to take some of the blame. From school teams up, ref's are threatened and abused for trying to do their jobs. I've seen grown men threaten to stab a teenage ref because they didn't like the decisions. We're basically picking from the few who've managed to be thick skinned (or plain ignorant) enough to survive grass roots, and it's a pretty piss-poor pool.

That said i'd have sent Wildsmith off (i'd have been wrong, but that was my snap judgement) and I dare say if it'd happened against us, most of PP would have been baying for a red.

  8. A few enormous, glaring tactical errors in the first half. Fornah looked lost at times trying to play as the 10 (but had a really encouraging 2nd half playing deeper), sitting so deep after we scored was absolutely criminal. Very clear Thommo was the link between midfield and attack and we really missed him today, hopefully Embelton can fill that role.

Looked better with 10 men, although the chasm between the midfield and attack was still enormous. TJJ and Fornah looked like good players, and Vickers was solid. Bizarrely, that was still one of Bradley's best performances for us. Other than the f*** up, he defended strongly and caused errors in their box instead of ours for a change.

All in all, we'd probably have taken 3 points from the last two games, and we've lost to a deflection. The performance was poor, at times inexcusable, but at least we've got some time to bed the players in and get the injuries healed.

  9. Why are they faffing around over a few £100k, dragging it out until the last second and messing up all our plans when they've got literally more money than they can spend?! It's infuriating how the Prem clubs bully everyone else for a shiny penny.
