What I will say about Rooney is that he is amazingly driven. He must really want to be a manager to keep stepping down like this.
It would have been much easier to do what Neville did after Valencia. Live off your reputation as a player and keep taking Sky's money.
But no, he is determined to pick himself up and try again and again.

Some internal news, Tyrese Fornah has just signed with a new agency group meaning only one thing. 99.99% of the time when a player does that unless they’re signing a new deal at the club they’re leaving their current club. Hasn’t worked out for him here and would leave Tommo as our only central midfield option.

Loan for 1 year, perm for 3
Loan fee is all accounted for in the first season
If sold after the first season, it's all profit as the player has no book value (signed on a free)
Contract extensions have no impact.
Perm for 4 years
Transfer fee is evenly distributed across the 4 years
If sold after the first season, profit = sale price - remaining book value
Contract extension spreads the remaining book value across the new contract duration
 
To give clarity on the contract extension bit...
A player is bought for £400k on a 4 year deal
Book value is amortised at £100k per year.
At the end of year 2 (2 years left on his contract), his book value is £200k
Player signs a new 4 year contract (extra 2 years)
His remaining book value of £200k is now amortised over 4 years (£50k per year)
This'll be a reason why you'll see some players sign 5 year deals, and then sign a new extension the year after (spread the amortisation out as much as possible), especially since 8 year contracts (Chelsea) and now 'banned' by UEFA. Technically not banned, but maximum amortisation period is set at 5 years even if contract are longer.

What does it matter? Provided they come in and do a job for the Rams who cares where they’ve played previously.

Following on from BigTrav’s message - Daniel Iversen was shown around the training ground 2 weeks ago. The first team coaching staff & recruitment staff have been abroad in both Netherlands and Denmark, upon their return they have continued to show other players around.

I’m by no means an ITK Alan Nixon impersonator and i’d only come on here and say owt if i believed there was any sort of legitimacy.
Chap who told me we’d want Adams permanently in the summer when we signed him, I had a chat with him on Friday, fee is the stumbling block. all parties want the move but Cardiff want a decent fee.
Sibley deal - apparently it seems to be length of the deal holding it up. we’re offering a shorter contract than desired. hopefully can be resolved.
Collins - same as above. we want a 1 yr deal. his camp want 2.
Herbie Kane - haven’t entered discussions, doubts that we will.
 

Reuben is progressing really well and is now working on being able to stand and put his weight through that right leg before he moves on to trying to walk. A little bit more movement in the right elbow but nothing yet in the wrist and hand….. 

Reuben is playing games encouraging him to use that right arm and hand. It’s all in the mind….
