I don't buy this "Rooney was under no pressure" argument and I never will. The pressure on Rooney was to give fans and staff hope while the administration and sale process was ongoing and the threat of liquidation was real. That takes willpower and character, irrespective of the financial rewards.
His total buy-in to Kirchner's fantasy is a separate matter and one he'll have to come to terms with. I'm pretty sure his personal embarrassment over that was a major factor in his decision to leave.

LOL at you playing the victim.
Nobody was 'turned on' for having doubts about Kirchner, or sensibly voicing them.
They may have been turned on for being attention seeking little twerps re-stating their position about 6 times a day in increasingly obnoxious ways, however.
Getting the end result right also doesn't excuse or make correct everything else that was said along the way.

Buy a player from another club that you also own, surely that wouldn’t be allowed now?

Glad you got the friendlies included within your subscription guys as it seems fair enough.
You were only being told what Derby had stated on the official site though ie. That the friendlies were NOT included in the monthly subscriptions ?‍♂️

Okay, back on track with this thread. Some pearls from Hertha's forum:
    - How much does this McGoldrick cost?
    - the opponent is third division?
    - There is more structure in play with the third division team than with us, or am I getting it wrong?
    - If I understood the commentator correctly at the beginning, 3-4 weeks ago they only had 6-7(!) players in the squad because of the bankruptcy and their forced relegation
    - We play like a German bar team visiting an English bar team on the island and then we go to the pub together and go home tomorrow with a big head. At least that's how it used to be with us, except that we played a better ball.

His past reputation appears to suggest he is struggling with life. He seems to be a talented footballer but cannot put that into practice.
Like I've said above, its easy to judge without knowing the facts. Its obvious he's not going to play for us but whatever demons he's facing lets wish him well for now.

Apologies for bumping this one back up, all. Just a heads up that Groundwork is out in just under two weeks now, which is a little bit mental and a little bit more terrifying. I've attached below the list of everyone who spoke for it (and volunteered their name) to give an idea of how it shapes up.
It should be available from the club shop, but it's also available from everywhere within this link: https://www.pitchpublishing.co.uk/shop/groundwork And if you want to hear some dulcet Leicestershire based tones to get you through the day, I was lucky enough to chat with the departing Chris Coles last week on what exactly it's all about: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0cfjwz3

Just an update on this one as it's looking like it's about six weeks away from publication, but -
Pretty excited to say that both Steve McClaren and Igor Stimac have done forewords for Groundwork! They're two of the however many ex players/coaches who contributed, and there's a lot of them inside, but to have them put their names to it is very decent.
The book is now available on a few different sites (all can be seen within https://www.pitchpublishing.co.uk/shop/groundwork) and I'm still trying to get it stocked with the club. But with everything off the pitch, it's proving a little difficult this time unfortunately. But we persevere.
One thing I did want to point out is on the RRP, which is admittedly hefty. Sadly this is out of my hands as it's sorted on the publishing side, but I am going to be looking to sell copies myself rather than letting Amazon take the 90+% they do. So if anybody is interested in getting a copy, I'm probably going to try and send out some copies directly without the middle man for £22 incl postage. Just drop me a message if keen ?

Pretty sure LR mentioned playing those that didn't get a start on Saturday would get more game time, personally I'd like to see more of the Sibley / Stretton combination, for me they do have a good understanding of each other that stems from the youth football they played, and if we don't add to the squad they may well be needed.

RamuelLJackson reacted to Millenniumram in Contracts For Young Players
I don’t think the issues we’ve had are particularly to do with forward planning.
Part of the reason we lost so many young players very recently is because we simply couldn’t hand out contracts whilst in administration. That problem was of course temporary, and I hope never poses an issue again.
The main difficultly though is persuading players to stay here. Until a player is a professional, we have no control over whether they stay with us or move elsewhere. We’ve seen a lot of players turn down pro deals here to sign at big clubs like Man City and Liverpool instead. That shows that our academy status is not enough alone to keep players here.
Is there actually anything more we can do though, or is this just an issue built into the academy system? I fear it will always be this way, takeover or no takeover. We already clearly offer more first team football for youngsters than any other team practically, so I don’t know what else we can do.

Because we didn't. It's quite simple really, you add the 21 deducted points back on to our total and we're out of the relegation zone.

    It's been answered.

Managerial decisions. Experienced players being removed from the team in January. The generally accepted tendency for teams away form to be worse than their home form. Other reasons too.

People are repeating themselves because you're refusing to take their answers onboard. You're not debating what they say, you're just carrying on as if they never said it and it has no validity.
I'm not sure why you're still asking the question. You're making something simple and straightforward needlessly complicated.
