Only thing I’ve taken personally was Port Vale at home which felt like a direct attack on my eye balls.

Man City’s under 14’s did alright playing passing football against a League 1 team this week

Spot on Roy. You quite simply will never find Warney shoe horning players into his preferred formation.

Quite funny isn’t it really.
They hired their rookie manager, had some fairly indifferent form but stuck with him and now I’m reading the best we can do is go there and hope!

Got to think that the greatest manager in L1 history should be guiding us to a win here

For me it's pretty simple. I have all the time in the world for a manager who is trying to get his teams playing decent football. But if you deliberately set out to play terrible football, because you think it will help you win more, then if you don't win you've got nothing. You deserve every bit of criticism that's coming to you.

You can trust Forest not to be able to find the absolutely massive middle ground between sacking a manager and giving him a new and presumably much improved 3 year deal

What’s the record time for a manager being sacked after getting a new contract?

I am not sure if it is a coincidence that their best season under the new ownership came about when the CEO and manager seemed to largely be allowed to get on with it, but I do think it is excellent they have reverted to type.
Its especially excellent that the owners son will now have extra responsibility for signing celebrities. Sorry did I say celebrities. I meant footballers.

Rosenior got criticised 10 games into a season after signing a whole new team. But anyway. It’s good to understand we blame the players when it suits.
I don’t think Warne is being talked down, is he? I just think we all got a bit over excited about him wearing hats and getting an away win which had been coming anyway. But there are the same issues in the squad today as there were under Rosenior.
Personally I was a bit confused today. If you had asked Port Vale before the game what type of game they wanted they’d have probably said they hoped it became a scrap with fights for second balls, plenty of set pieces and lack of control. It’s exactly what we gave them and worse still it looked like a choice at times. That was a concern when we hired Warne and I’ve seen little to be able to say it’s not a concern now. We have some good footballers, I’d like to see us try to use them. If we are going to play the style we did today we may as well not bother with a midfield and just rock a 5-0-5 formation.

Zero attempt to control the game at 1-0, first thought never to bring it down and play.
When you reduce the game to first contacts and second balls against teams like Port Vale (no disrespect intended) you make their lives 10x easier because they do it day in day out.
